  • What exactly do you eat for meals during induction?????

I need to give this WOE a serious try.........

What do you eat during induction??? I know I have the book and everything but just curious what meals/foods you ate yourself during induction?

Also, size wise, how much is 4 oz of cheese? I believe 4 oz is the maximum amount of cheese we are allowed to eat on this WOE during induction?

    Thanks!!

Here is what I normally ate--and I still eat this stuff because it's so good!

    BREAKFAST IDEAS
    omelet with veggies
warm pumpkin mixed with cream cheese and cinnamon
daikon "hashbrowns" with sausage or bacon
    LEFTOVERS!

    LUNCH IDEAS
salad with shredded cheese and mixed greens
grilled chicken tenders with wing sauce, celery
turkey breast with ranch dressing, string cheese, cukes
beef jerky, jicama slices, slice of cheddar cheese
pinwheels (sliced meat, cream cheese with spices, slice of cheese)

    DINNER IDEAS
    chicken parmesan
grilled chicken with wing sauce, green beans with butter
spaghetti squash topped with broccoli and chicken
    steak, mashed fauxtatoes, chocolate mousse
breakfast for dinner (omelet with cheese and veggies, bacon)
entree salad (mixed greens, bacon, hardboiled egg, veggies, topped with grilled meat of your choice, shredded cheese, dressing)

Another thing that helps is putting lots of little baggies of legal foods in serving-sizes and keeping them in the fridge. On busy days, I might grab a baggie of beef jerky, a baggie of celery, a cheesestick, and some ranch to take for lunch. Or some pepperoni, mozzarella, and green pepper. That way I could make whatever combos of fat, protein, and carbs that I felt like.

The easiest way to measure 4oz. of cheese is the size of 4 cheesesticks--each is one ounce. Cheese usually comes in different sized packages...if it's in an 8oz. pack, just use 1/8 of the pack, if it's in a 12oz. pack, use 1/12 of the pack, etc.

I find the easiest way to eyeball cheese is one ounce = 1 inch cubes

when you eat induction style you look at your lists of foods and then eat until you are content off the list ...drink lots of water ..do not let yourself get hungry the first few days and eat enough of as many kinds of foods as possible so you feel satisfied....

come on baby girl I will hold your hand .I know you know what to do here!!!....I am detoxing today from a tortilla overload yesterday ..we have been snowed in ..I had eaten most of the healthy food ...and inspite of what I know about my being addicted to sugar and white flour ..I had wine with my husband and made tortillas and lost my mind in a frenzy by the fireplace!!! I feel toxic today ...

you can do this ..I know you can ...if you are hungry ..eat ...follow the list of acceptable foods and eat eat eat!!!!

        thank you both!

What do you pack for emergency bags?? I know I've got to do those too, for when I'm at work and going through my day outside the house....

well I dont snack for one thing ...I like to eat meals so I eat more than three a day most of the time ..but for things to take with me that are portable and taste great ..cut up fresh veggies (red peppers, fresh fennel, jicama, celery, whatever you like) cheese (all kinds) and olives (especially the dried bitterish ones I love those) are my favorites! just toss them in plastic containers and then into a bag with a frozen water bottle and you are good to go
