Ok. So I didn't check in as soon as I should have, but I've almost completed a two week clean induction. Total loss has been 8 Ibs. Energy levels have skyrocketed again. My appetite is down to just above nothing, although I am making sure I am eating appropriately. My ratio's are perfect, I'm getting back into using FitDay.
I have commited to an intense exersize program. Cravings for sweets are gone. Because of my EXTREME intolerance of Splenda, I am limited to any low carb goodies I can look forward too, or any bags of sugar free candy catching my eye.
My kitchen is stocked with tuna, salad dressing, cheeses, fresh green vegetables, salads, and a homemade, low carb, no bake cheesecake made with plain gelatin, a bit of stevia, and fresh lemon juice. Very lightly sweetened, and perfect for an after dinner treat.
I've dusted off my old binder chock full of delicious low-carb recipes and have been a busy bee in the kitchen. I've begun to realize how I missed this program and how truly great I felt. I suppose I ought to sit down and think about the reasons why I let myself go. Unfortunately I sabotaged a 60 pound weight loss with an added ten pounds. However, I can only learn from it.
This time around I have decided to completely eliminate aspartame. My only sweeteners are stevia, and the occasional sweet "n" low. I am less cranky, irritable, sleeping better and deeper, waking more rested, focused, and less depressed. More important, my dietary changes and taking my supplements again have rid me of a whole slew of new medical problems I accumulated while I was off the Atkins band wagon. Headaches, joint aches and PMS have VANISHED. And when I mean vanished, I mean vanished. No PMS.
I'm thankful for this board and everyone here. This time around I mean business, and I hope you'll all stay on my case!
