Hey everyone! I'm getting very discouraged. I've done atkins SEVERAL times over the last 8 years and lost weight but didn't stick with it long until 2003. I finally decided this was the life for me and stuck to it. I weighed 214 the day I started and in 8 months was hitting the scales between 163-165!! I loved it!! Well I became pregnant with my 3rd baby in 2004 and was getting sick alot and the thought of meat and eggs was making it worse, so I came off the diet. After i had my baby I waited a few weeks to give my body time to readjust to not being pregnant(I was not breastfeeding)and started the diet again. In 2 months I had only lost about 8 lbs. and I got discouraged,thought maybe I hadn't give my body enough time so I came off of it awhile tried again and same thing. After several tries between in 2005 and 2006 with not much luck, I finally on New Years told myself I was going to start again strictly. And that is what I have done. Well I weighed in at 220 on January 2 and today(15 days later) I have only lost 1 lb. and 1/4 of an inch off my waist!!!!
Has anyone ever had this happen to them and how did you get through it. I like the diet but if I'm not losing any weight, what's the point? I am very desperate to lose this weight. I feel like I am in someone else's body. Before kids I never weighed over 160. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!!!
