  • Thanks to Atkins and all of you!!

... because my life has changed so much!
I know that my weight may have seemed insignificant to some .. and also the weightloss ... but I have now learnt to eat properly and not starve myself to death as before.
I had tried everything .. from the Cabbage Diet to Melon and Yoghurt .. where I promptly put on 3 kilos instead of losing !

I love this forum .. the people here and the kindness everyone shows.

Even models are bulemic and allsorts .. some have a tragic end so I think that the problem is not just for people who are .. visibly "rounded" .. but also for those who are "rounded" in their head! .. like I was

Now I KNOW how to eat and WHAT to eat .. and I feel so POWERFUL!
This is what Atkins has given me and I am truly grateful.
I admit that I have just come back from 1 month in the UK .. and I put on 2 kilos .. too many temptations
Even though I must say that now I am not half as tempted as I used to be .. Atkins has changed my desires for foods.

I long for the salads and proteins ... which is good.

I did go to SUBWAY after reading here that they did lowcarb wraps .. and I must admit they were marvellous.
Wish I could get wraps like that here in Italy!!

I have a sister-in-law ... who is severely overweight .. and I have been PLEADING her to join this forum.
She is a wonderful person ... treating cancer afflicted children in hospitals .. which obviously is sooo devastating ..

But I really hope one day to introduce her to you all ... the people here who are so kind and always ready to lend an ear to the thoughts of others.

People speak of comfort foods ... I think of comfort Atkins

because I now know that even if I have a special evening .. or indulge slightly .. I know exactly how to rectify the day after .. and eat in a healthy manner ..

Maybe that doesn't sound so good for those of you who are "totally committed" .... but I think that everyone is different .. and the important thing is that ATKINS WORKS !

In whatever way you decide it should enter your life ..

    A hug to you all

    Jenny,

Congratulations on getting it off and keeping it off! While it's true that not everyone has a lot of weight to lose, it is true that everyone needs to change their eating habits. It looks like you've managed to do that for the long-term. Thanks for posting!

Jenny, your post is so inspiring on how Atkins has changed your life and made you feel better about yourself. Isn't it wonderful to finally have control over the food you eat rather than let it control you? Congratulations. I hope your sister-in-law takes your advice and decides to join us...

Welcome and thanks for sharing your story!!
