  • Please Critique My Diet Plan

    B:3-4 oz cheddar cheese or 3 fried eggs or left over meat from the night before

    L: 3 Italian Hot sausages 0 carbs or 3 cups salad with hamburger meat approx 1 lb meat

    D: 3-4 chicken theighs with skin (wont eat veggies if i have salad at lunch) or large bnlss sknlss chicken breast with melted cheese on it with veggies fried in butter or a steak with mushrooms

    Buckey, great stuff. But you need to be spreading your veggies out during the day. Having them all at once will have an effect on your blood sugar spikes. Try to have a cup with lunch and the rest during dinner.

    You could even have a handful of mushrooms with your breakfast.

    Apart from that all looks really good.

    How much water are you drinking?

    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

            I am a total sucker for cheese so I really have to work at keeping mine down to 3-4 oz per day. Sounds like you are using up your whole allottement at breakfast? Maybe you could trade out some of that cheese for some veggies (like onions and peppers) with your eggs.

            Also, I would bet that the sausages have SOME carbs...esp if you eat 3. Usually processed meats are not 0 carbs.

                More breakfast...that meal starts your metabolism. It should likely be eggs AND something every day. Whether it's meat or cheese or veggies or a flaxmeal muffin or flaxmeal pancake or whatever, you want to get a bit more in at that time, especially if you do any early exercise/cardio.

                Definitely should be getting salad/veggies in at least twice a day...salad dressing helps push your fat % to the 60%+ mark quite nicely also.

                If you're exercising regularly you'd be better off with 4 small meals and a snack, btw...best long term results. Check Fitday.com out if you haven't already...it'll help you see where you are each day in terms of balancing your fats/carb/protein ratio.

                  Even though it says 0 carbs on the back, they can round that down if it is less than .5 (I think). (They can also say less than 1 g if it is between .5 and 1 but if it were almost 1 gram, that could add up. But that's a different story).

                  I wonder what fitday would say for Italian hot sausage...let's see...fitday says 1.02 gram for a 5" link.

                    Im from Canada and on our nutritional lables they are not allowed to round down if it's .5 or less they have to round up, so if it says zero then it's zero
