Hey everyone! I had a good weekend behaving myself, I hope y'all did as well! Today is my day to spend a couple of hours in the kitchen whipping up my snacks and lunch food for the week as well as prepping things for easy and quick dinners.
Good news--this weekend, I got my first, "Are you losing weight?" question from people! I always await that day when I hear that and it was good to get two in one weekend. Especially when the scale has hardly budged 3 lbs since I got back on the wagon three weeks ago today. I've been working out and clothes are a lot better fitting, so I'm definitely shrinking even if that scale won't say so. More good news--I fit into my size 14 black cargo pants yesterday that I haven't work since last spring! They are stretchy, but hey, it feels good to get back into them because I love them so! Only a little muffin top tummy popping out over the top of them, but at least I don't look like a sausage bursting out of it's casing like I did last time I tried them on. My boyfriend has lost 10 lbs. He is now officially halfway to his goal of losing 20 lbs. MUST BE NICE! LOL. Only 50 or 60 more pounds to go for me!
This week, I am upping the ante on the WOE, starting with strawberries added to my homemade ice cream. We'll see how it affects things. Also good news this week, I'm getting a cortisone shot in my foot on Wednesday, so now I'll really be able to get serious about using the heck out of the treadmill (for those of you who don't know, I have an enlarged, excrutiatingly painful nerve between my toe bones in my foot that make it sometimes impossible to do my cardio work out favorited of jogging). So that's exciting. Also this week brings me thismuchcloser to becoming a fully licensed cosmetologist! I'll keep you posted.
So now I'm off to make some lemon poppyseed cookies for quick snacks and breakfasts, homemade ice cream for desserts, spaghetti squash for dinner this week, chicken salad and deviled eggs. It doesn't take too long with BF being as into it as I am, it's a nice bonding activity, actually.
Also, OMG, we made those cheddar and cream cheese stuffed jalapenos last night to snack on while we watched a movie. HOLY COW! If you haven't tried these, you simply MUST!
For dinner tonight we are going to our favorite middle eastern food restaurant and eating the kabobs and meat platter with hummus and baba ganouj, minus the pita.
Have a good day!
