Hi everyone, just curious what vitamins does everyone take, im not taking any and want to start, im on a blood pressure that has a water pill in it so not to sure if i can just take anything, i use to take a multi vitamin but it seems like i would need more, i read about vitamins and all in dandr but that seems like a lot to take as well, just wondering what are the best ones to take.

way back... I actually bought the ones FOR the Atkins plan..... right now though.. I'm just winging it... (I have all kinds of women vitamins, calcium, C, Lysine, and osteo bi-flex stuff)...
since nobody responded yet.. I'm just telling you what I do... and did...I'm sure that going 'by the book' would be the optimum thing... but some days I can't make myself swallow the ones I already have... just not in the mood to buy more stuff just yet..2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!

I'm not even sure they still HAVE the Atkins brand vitamins like I bought the first time around... I don't see them mentioned on the home page or anything.. and haven't been to GNC in a while..2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!

I'm a bad girl and don't really take mine much these days. But I can offer you advice on how to select the vitamins that you need. You kind of have to design them according to your body's needs. Find out what your issues are with your body....dull hair, bad eyesight, dry/oily skin, pain in some joints, inflamed nerves, what about your body would you want to improve and what kinds of diseases run in your family that you would like to prevent? Write a list of things you want to boost and help, maybe immune system boosters because you have children. Then look up what kind of vitamins would be good for your issues/symptons. It's kind of fun once you get into it. My boyfriend wants to prevent heart disease because it runs in his family and he works out so he tailors his vitamins according to what he needs for his body.
Vitamins work different for everyone. You just have to figure out what your body needs. Good luck!Felicia

I take a multivitamin, Centrum Senior, and I take a potassium suppliment, because of all the water I take in and release and because I am a big sweater, when I exercise.74 8/1/06

I just use a generic men's multi vitamin.. when I take them...

Each day (when I remember!) I take a womens 50+ multivitamin (no iron), flax oil, vitamin E.
If I'm feeling under the weather, I'll also take vitamin C, vitamin B complex, and zinc.
Before/during TOM, I add evening primrose oil.
I've never purchased anything overly fancy, and have never purchased the "special" supplements put out by Atkins. I think they're a rip-off. I take Rainbow Light Prenatals and Flaxseed Oil. I am going to start adding a B-50 complex soon. I am TTC so reading up on supplements for that too.Jamie
