Re: Energy
You mean, during induction? For me, it was day 4, I believe. Day 3 hit with induction flu, and after that, I woke up refreshed and feeling I could take on the world!
Now, being about 6 months in, I have basically constant energy, not hyper energy, almost like that of an endurance runner as compared with a sprinter. Now, it's after exercise that I get a burst of energy and a rush of endorphins. But energy-wise, I pretty much am ready for anything, anytime!START 8/16/06 @ 270+~MG1: 220-12/2/06~MG2: 210-1/07~MG3: 199-3/2/07~MG4: 190-4/27/07~MG5: 180-7/04/07~GOAL: 170

Re: Energy
Juli--your pictures look beautiful!
It takes me one to two weeks to get the energy burst. Suddenly I can't fall asleep easily and my mind is racing about everything under the sun.
Working out helped a lot, it helps me keep my thoughts arranged and focused, clean and organized and I was more tired at the end of the day.Felicia

Re: Energy
Actually for me, my experience has been a bit different. I am going to be picking up my vitamins this week. It has been a little over a month cheat free for me on this WOE, and I have NO energy at all. I am finding myself sleeping a lot more, and when I do wake up, my arms feel very heavy. It may have to do with my hypoglycemia. I am going to look into it, but from what I hear, most other people get energetic within the first week .AhliaPlease visit my Atkins Journal and comment!I really can use the support!24/F Started Atkins 1/02/07SW: 272CW: 228.5STG: 255- Met 3/06/07STG: 240- Met 5/23/07STG: 230- Met 6/26/07STG: 225-GW: 155

Re: Energy
Mine came right near the end of induction. Now I just have a general sense of well being and, like julirama, I get an extra burst after exercising.Grant

Re: Energy
I'm like Ahlia. I'm a month in and am running pretty low on energy. I notice it mostly when I work out - I just can't do what I did a month ago.
I'm sticking with it though and adding vitamins and trying to climb the rungs on time so that I can get some extra carbs in and see if that helps. I think my carbs are a little low for someone working out but I want to increase them slowly so I'm just being patient at this point and working out as best I can.Jamie

Re: Energy
i'm with wonder woman and loveisnocolor. i have been on plan for 1 month with no cheats, and i'm up to 4 miles a day on the bike or treadmill, but i really don't feel like a million bucks.
in the beginning, i could have napped during the day - it;s not that bad now, but i'm certainly not the picture of energy. i do take vits and supplements, too. it could be the other meds i'm on - who knows? everyone is different.
