    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT. Enough to follow all the rules of your particular phase. ENOUGH to go back and read and stay focused on this very specific ketogenic diet...
    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Enough to count your water intake, and work til you've reached it.
    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Enough to press through exercise today, even tho it's friday and you are soooo tired and you can make it up over the weekend...
    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Enough to stop and make sure you have the right foods for a dayw when the "end of the week" tiredness can get to you.
    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Sticking to your plans no matter what???
    HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? Structuring your schedule so you get the best exercise in your day...

    I pray I wake up "wanting it bad" every day. That makes these days easier. It's the days I "DONT WANNA" that scare the crud out of me. THose days are the longest on the treadmill or bike or out side on the running course. Those days never seem to end....aggghhhhh.

    I want it BAD ENOUGH TO PRESS THRU MY EMOTIONS... I have a picture of where I am going, and I will press onward...even tho all sorts of things aint just right in my world...

    Well,It's day five of induction and everything is hopefully on track. They had the great company chili cookoff and work. I checked the carb counts on most chili and decided that I'd just eat the lunch that I brought.

    Two swiss mushroom burgers (can you still call them burgers with no buns?) and a nice portion of Broccolli with a little REAL butter. I drank at least 80 ounces of water and really am not craving anything. I WANTED to have some of the chili, but I wasn't craving it.
    Starting weight: 310 Current weight: 292 Goal weight: 220

      So, this morning.....191!!! I think I may have broken my stall.

      BUT

      Wanna know the first thing that popped into my mind??

      How I could have a 'treat' of coffee with cream!! Coffee with cream causes me ISSUES. If I go there, I WILL be off on a binge...all legal foods mind you...but a binge nontheless, and I will gain weight and not be getting closer to my goals.

      So, I had to have reality check with myself this morning, already. Joy, don't UNDO what you've DONE. What did I do this week? I broke that plateau.

      Then, I come here, and Jess you've given me another reality check....HOW BAD DO I WANT IT? I want it bad enough to stay 'straight' this weekend. Not eat off plan, not allow 'treats', not allow coffee, stay busy and occupied.

        Jess, great post! It's obvious from your pictures that you DO want it, and those "DON'T WANNA" days are few and far between! Keep it up, skinny.

        Fozzy, congrats on skipping the chili! Your lunch sounded much better anyway.

        Joy, that is AWESOME!!! CONGRATS!!! Good for you for stomping the coffee monster. Take yourself on a nice 5K to celebrate instead.

        I want it bad, Jess! I am down 2 pounds this week, and although I'm tempted to add more foods, I know that if I am going to do this right, I need to stay where I'm at for another week and do more experimenting with Rung 7 foods. Haste makes waste! I want to make sure I do it RIGHT this time, so there's no such thing as a THIRD time around.

          How bad... about to go exercise... make special foods for me to eat last night while the family was chowing down on spag - and mine was just as good and best part... no reflux after eating! yeah!

          Gotta work on my water today - I'm already behind.. about to chek work and go gazelle!

            Jess what a great post when im feeling defeated, it is something i need to read, i want it bad eneough to go backwards to see what is causing all this confusion, not really backwards i should say but a few steps back to get a hold of myself where usually i will say oh i done messed everything up mine as well give up but no not this time, i will stay strong and i will learn from this so i can move forward even if it means i might cant handle more than 20-25 carbs a day, i have to understand that is maybe all my body can handle and i have to come to peace with that one way or another if i ever want to get to a healthier state not just physically but more importantly mentally, once again thanks for a much needed post.

              Lisa, it could be something totally innocent. Just take the spaghetti squash out of your diet, eat back on induction levels until you get the upper hand again. We ALL have to do that...MYSELF included after a year on this plan. Just last week I had issues with cravings and eating stuff that caused problems and bloating and water retention. It's all part of it. If you stick through it, keep your eye on the prize (a THIN, HEALTHY you) YOU WILL GET IT! YOU WILL. Every time you overcome your addiction (and it IS and addiction) you have something to be PROUD of yourself. You've added to your self esteem because you've become STRONGER than the addiction. Enough of those times and you get rewarded again because the scale will move or you'll get into a smaller pair of pants...which adds even MORE to your self esteem. Don't give up, do exactly like you've been doing....come here for support.
