    Is There a Fifth Time Around Club?

    Hey All...

    I have been popping my head in and out of here for a few years...

    Long Story short...Just got my first high blood pressure headache at 27 years old this past weekend and would actually like to live to see my children grow up, so here's to the 3rd or 4th...or 5th time around!

    Hi there TK, I think we are the "5th" time around club too. Rather than focusing on how many times around, we are consistent in coming back to Atkins. Atkins has changed my life, especially when it came to calming my bloodsugar crazies, fatigue and mood shifts. yes I was addicted to carbs and over eating and never feeling satisfied, but the cycle of emotional ups and downs and fatigue were killing me and the heart burn...

    I was sitting on the couch yesterday and I realized I was a completely different person in regards to how I feel on a daily basis. It's sooo worth the hard work to get into the routines of eating low carb, drinking water and daily exercise. It has soooo changed my life.
    We're glad to have you and I hope you will be able to say "I came back to the right diet for me".

      Jess is right, I believe that most of us have had more than two rounds of it! This way of eating is simply an excellent way to live and I will eat this way for the rest of my life. Even if I "cheat" or fall off the wagon, I know in my heart I will always come back to it.

      And Jess, I'm with you on the heartburn thing! Soo nice to be able to kiss that goodbye. It's funny, I go out to dinner with people and they stuff themselves so full that they can't move, want to go take a nap, are simply uncomfortable the rest of the night. It's times like that when I realize tenfold, how much this woe does for me.

        Thanks so much for the open arms! I have been everywhere on the scale in my adult life, but at this weight feel so emotionally fragile! The worst part? I am in an image oriented business, and just got turned down for a management position at one of my jobs because the district didn't think I could spend all of that time on my feet! (translation, I am too fat!)

        So anyway, I should probably start a journal so I can read my progress, set mini goals, remind myself why I want to be alive in 10 years...etc.

        It's been a good morning, I forgot how good I feel about myself when I have self-control!

              Welcome to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th, and more times around club. I'm a 2nd time arounder. What's important is you are back on it and not giving up. And It's easy to stay on the Atkins diet with this forum.
              It's a one-stop-shop...menus, recipes, exercise, support, advice, friendships...

                This is probably my 5th time around also. In the begining (about 5 yrs ago) atkins worked great for me. I lost about 30lbs! Now the past few times over the years that I tried to start back up, it seemed like if I didn't stay strictly on induction, I would not lose. Then again, this diet seems to be the only one that works for me.

                Let me know how the 5th time is going for you.
