  • Hello Everyone.....

Well, here I am, somewhere I said 10 months ago that I wouldn't be. I intitially started Atkins on April 17, 2006. I was 295 pounds, and in pretty bad shape. As of November (Thanksgiving) I was still doing great, got down to 225 pounds. Bad habits, 'exceptions', 'only for the holidays' excuses kept creeping in. Now it's February 19, 2007 and I weigh 240 pounds. I worked so damn hard, but yet here I am. Today I am starting clean induction. Straight forward! No excuses. I've got my book out again and reading it as well.

After induction, though, do I start all of the rungs back over again? Just wondering. I figure that is the case, but, we'll see. Thanks, oh yes, you all have permission to kick me in the but. What a moron. I don't believe I let this happen.

    Re: Hello Everyone.....

Scooter, you are all over the place here this morning man. YOu were the first person to welcome me when I came here in August! I remember you posting to me andyour pics and weight loss and I was like soooo impressed. I am even more impressed today, reading that you are back kicking butt back into gear. This weekend, I arrived at day 200, and for some reason I went ahead and did a keto stick, because we've been enjoying some new low carb concotions....I was flat out of ketosis...I had not lost weight in a month, I am sure now it was the little extras I had allowed in. So I too have peeled back to a modified induction...back down to 20-25 carbs a day. I felt no hunger nor desires for my new found treats....
YOU are gonna feel great and free again shortly. Do your induction and then why not go to the rungs. If they worked before, why won't they work again...Remember your pants story??? Where your wife bought smaller pants and told you you could wear em...well you are head right back to that great place, all over again!!!! (maybe you'll have to lock the door again)...

Don't feel bad! You caught it before it got too out of control. I regained almost every pound I lost on Atkins before I got back in gear 2 weeks ago. Learn from it and move on. You just did your body and health the biggest favor ever!

Scooter--I will always say this: you are to be commended, not come down on yourself for "falling off". Most of us who begin this WOE have tapped into something that other people remain purposefully ignorant of their whole lives. Congratulations for sticking with it, even if you didn't stick with it--if you know what I mean. I always love the feeling of day one over with. The "break the cycle day" is a great one! Good luck!
