Good Morning Everyone, just wanted to start this thread since i did not see it going. Well im trying again with induction, i have had such an emotional last two weeks that i need to do this and stick to it, seeing my dad sick and knowing that he didnt take care of himself properly really hit home with me, even though it was meningitis that affected him it was his type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure that made it impossible for him to fight it. So im starting off good today so far, i even went and bought some stevia but i have to say its not as good as splenda but i will just have to get use to it i guess. Well i hope everyone has a great day and i will pop in later to see how you all are doing!!!

Re: Tuesday check in
Good Morning Lisa,
I'm so sorry to hear about your father. We are very happy to have you with us! Thanks for starting the post, it's Tuesday, a new day, and adventure stands before us! Congrats on the 4 pounds so far! We're all here for you, keep us posted and don't be a stranger! By the way, don't eat Acorn Squash until rung level 8. I have become an expert at that advice...(see previous post) haha Have a great day!

Re: Tuesday check in
Hi all,
I am starting Induction today. This is my 3rd or 4th go round with Atkins. The last time I did it was over a year ago, so everything feels new to me, which is fun. Last night we went shopping and bought all the good induction stuff - eggs, meat, cheese, veggies, heavy cream. I was so giddy.
My starting weight today is 214. I need to change my signature, I'm sure. I don't even know what it says, but I'm sure it will depress me when I review this post.

Re: Tuesday check in
Hi, I am so excited you girls have chosen this way of life...The valleys of life sure show us what our will power is made of, eh? Or at least for me anyway. Even though I have been a good girl, I still have thought about the bad stuff constantly! It is getting better, though. Just a few weeks in, and I have to REMIND myself to eat! I like to call it eating to live!
Well, all is well here, just had scrambled eggs with sausage, bacon, and mushrooms mixed in with a bit of broccoli from last night. I start my new job at 11 this a.m., so I have a prepared spinach salad with chicken and sf ranch along with a cheese stick and some sf homemade jerky to take so I don't cheat...oh and several bottles of water!
Wish me luck, and I hope everyone has a blessed day!
Hugs,
Kristi

Re: Tuesday check in
Scooter, you make me laugh. You and your squash!
Lisa, so sorry about you Dad. Good for you doing something good for yourself. Lemonade out of lemons thing. You can do anything you set you mind to!!
Effie, welcome back. Don't think about the signature thing you are making a change today and today is what counts!
Me? Well, I need to exercise more. Scale isn't really moving but yesterday I was bad about water and went too long without eating. I'm terriblly sore from shoveling for 2 hours yesterday (DD has a horse and someone has to shovel the muck created by winter YUK) and I considered that yesterdays exercise since it had me out of breath at times and sore today.
Life is good. I'm wearing clothes I haven't been able to in longer than I care to say. I feel great and am going to jump on the treadmill right now

Re: Tuesday check in
Hey all!
Lisa thanks for starting the thread today.
Scooter--I had a mishap with butternut squash back in October. I just couldn't figure out how a vegetable so sweet could be allowed during Rung 1. OOPS. Another case of "look before you eat" ha ha.
Today is going well! I'm hungry, but I've got my usual good foods. I'm looking forward to going home and going for a nice walk--today is the FIRST day since November that I haven't had to wear a coat! It's going to be in the 50s today, and it is sunny and gorgeous outside.
I hope all of you have a good Tuesday.

Re: Tuesday check in
Hi everyone,
Sorry about your father Lisa. At least he's not in pain anymore. I send your family my positive energy.
Juli-I hear ya about no coat needing. That's awesome!
As for me, I think I got salmanella poisoning. I have probably vomited 6 times today, and Idon't even want to go into what was happening on the other end. Trying to stay hydrated. I get about 20 minutes of feeling better after I let some of it out of me so I thought I'd stretch and stay upright for as long as possible. That's why I'm here on ADBB.
I'm going off plan today. My bf is going to pick up some crackers and toast for me and mint ice cream and sugar free ginger ale. It's the only thing I can imagine trying to eat. We had chicken last night and there was chiccken juice everywhere when I opened the package. Usually I"m real careful, But I think I must have not been careful enough and maybe had some on my hands or something. This is a most wretched sickness. Just trying to stay hydrated and warm and comfy. Well my twenty minutes is about up, I really need to force myself to stretch and move before I get back in bed.
Take care everyon!Felicia

Re: Tuesday check in
I'm here.
Ironically enough in my room with a plate holding a big slice of cake and two scoops of ice cream. LOL, it's true! I know I can't taste it, or I'll eat it, so I'm just not allowing me to do so. (It's happened before, experience).
My cousin insisted on bringing it to my room, and there it is sitting in the corner on the floor. (Little nieces birthday today). I'm not going to eat it, I just have to wait till I can get rid of it with out being noticed. I said no, but I felt bad turning her away from my door you know?
LOL. I must, I must, remain on my Atkins!Female...24 years old.
