Re: ???'s On Flax Seed
I can't give you much lowdown on Flax seed. I've never used it myself. But one thing is certain. You must count the carbs for it. Make sure that you count the carbs for seasonings, drinks, etc. Example, a teaspoon of chili powder (no sugar added of course) is 1 carb. An 8 oz mug of coffee, surprise. 1.8 carbs. We count everything we are putting in our mouths. Are using fitday to record everything you eat Leah?

This site is free and it is awesome, and it's an excellent to count your carbs and watch your levels. It is basically user friendly. I was going to buy the PC version, but never actually got around to it, because this version on line is so good.
Hopefully someone else can answer the Flaxseed portion of your question! I know some people use it for breakfast cereal, granola, you can make crackers out of it, lots of different uses.

Re: ???'s On Flax Seed
Hi
flax seed (linseed in UK) is allowed on induciton under the 'constipation prevention' ruleIf you are not experiencing 'bathroom problems' so dont need the extra fibere you should wait till you are at the nuts/seeds rung of OWL to add it.12. If you are constipated, mix a tablespoon or more of psyllium husks in a cup or more of water and drink daily. Or mix ground flaxseed into a shake or sprinkle wheat bran on a salad or vegetables.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: ???'s On Flax Seed
I make flax pancakes whenever I feel I need a little help. I mix some psyllium and flax together with eggs and some cinnamon. Cook like a pancake. I eat it with sugar free syrup and a few berries. Yum!
