  • Day 3!!

    Happy Thursday everyone!!! Well day 3 is here for me and I must say that I feel great!!! The other times I have tried Atkins I never really felt good until Day 4 or 5, maybe this time Im skipping Induction Flu ?? Wouldnt that be nice Im kinda bummed that I dont think Ill get my walk in today...very cold here and WINDY honestly I can handle the cold but the wind gets me! So Im planning on running up and down the stairs every chance I get and Im going in to work early to do a couple of laps around Lowes. One of our managers walked past me like 6 times the other night...I said " what are you doing? " he says " Im tired of being fat, walk with me " So I did it was actually pretty fun. I havent weighed myself yet, TOM is coming and last time I got really frustrated when I didnt show any weight loss for a few days so Im avoiding the upstairs bathroom ( where the evil scale lives ).     Good for you, Lacey! Day two for me and I am feeling good so far. I always get hit with induction flu around the third day, so if you have passed it, good for you!!! I will keep thinking positively for you.

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
    what the rungs mean to me:
    rung 1 - more veggies
    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

      Go Lacey, GO! SOUNDS GREAT! Avoid the disappointing scales, lower your expectations girlfriend, be so glad to be back on plan and feeling so good, make that the center of your focus! FOR GET THE NUMBERS, they bite! Just be so proud of where you are not what you weigh...the weight will come off to those who have patience and stick to the plan....it's little by little and those who seek LIFESTYLE WIN!!!!

        I love the word " Lifestyle " all of a sudden for some unknown reason that word has more meaning this time around. When I do Atkins I feel soooo good, I have more energy I get right out of bed in the morning and start doing laundry, dishes, playing with the dogs, where as before this WOL I would lay around on the couch half the day and drink my coffee trying to get motivated. My acne dissapears when Im on Atkins, my hair ( which I take great pride in...very nice and thick down to my butt ) feels healthier and grows faster. I have the energy to play with my children instead of just telling them to go play ( one of my breaking points ). I have been overweight since I was 12 years old. I had a very ( VERY ) heavy sister and my mother would always tell me that if I kept it up I was going to look just like her ( bad bad bad...dont ever do this ) as I grew up the weight stayed with me I got used to the fact that I was/am a big girl, and Im ok with it my fiance loves me for who I am I know that Im attractive ( not to sound snotty ) and I can hold my weight very well. Sure I would love to LOOK good in a bathing suit but as long as I FEEL good in a bathing suit...Im happy with that. My fiance once told me a long time ago " its not how you look...its how you think you look, confidence is SEXY " ( this is why I am marrying this man )Thank you so much for hitting me in the head with the LIFESTYLE brick!!! It really got me into a better mode!!!!

          Welcome to the lifestyle change! Soooo good to hear some of changes you are already seeing and feeling. I promise you, they will continue to get so much better. We are very happy to have you with us. Don't forget to ask questions if you have them along the way. Trust me, I've made mistakes, should have asked, then felt silly! haha. Anyway, glad to meet you and happy to have you here!

            Lifestyle is really what it's all about, think about it, the weight will go up and down each day it fluctuates. But what if we can established a well balanced, engerized happy lifestyle! Where we do bound up each day, getting our work done, reaching out for more quality in our lives, being active with our kids...think about it..
            Atkins is just one of those plans that makes you FEEL GOOD, WHILE DIETING!
