  • Hi Everyone !!!!

    Hi ,

    Started 4 days ago, and in a funk with cravings of carbs but I know it will go away...... was tempted to get on the scales and I did and was so happy to see I was down 3 lbs. I promise I wont get on till the end of the week. Thanks to all who post, it is so encouraging to read. Is July realistic for my goal ?

    Wow thats great that you are down 3 lbs. The carb cravings will go away shortly. As far as making a goal like that I think it is helpful to make mini goals along the way to help you stay on track. Everybody loses differently, some slow (like me, ugh), and others fast (lucky dogs), so you are just going to have to see how your body deals with this WOE. Exercise is a huge factor in how rapid your weight will come off as well.

        Hi Valerie. Welcome. Have you taken your measurements? Its very motivating to see the inches drop as well as the pounds.

          Hello Bruce's Lady,

          Scoote here, welcome to our little forum! July and your goal, hmmm....everybody loses differently. We don't want to make promises that don't hold. I would suggest that you make a couple or even 1 mini goal first. That way you have something to shoot for with an early reward. You meet that goal, then you make a new goal and so on. I don't want to keep you from your goal, far from it, just give yourself some stepping stones along the way to make it easier to track!
