    Dressing room mirrors don't lie!

Hi everyone - I'm a second time arounder. Here's my story... Over the past few months I have noticed that my clothes feel tighter and tighter. When I look in my closet for something to wear, each garment reminds me of how terrible I felt in it the last time I wore it. I have about 25 pairs of pants hanging up and only a few fit and feel comfortable to wear. That being said, I do not feel comfortable with how I look in them. Yuck. It's like I'm just looking for something... anything to wear that fits me. Style and fashion have sadly taken a back seat.

Last weekend I had a pivotal moment in the Kohl's dressing room. I was trying on a bunch of clothes two sizes bigger than I normally wear and even some of those garments (size 16) didn't fit me. It was then that I truly, truly saw myself in the mirror. I left the store and came home searching out my old ATkins book from a few years ago and began to reread. I have "re-committed" to the diet and we all know starting is the hardest step. I feel relieved that I have a plan in place and that I know I won't have to buy any bigger clothes. Period.

I found this great forum here and I look forward to sharing experiences and offering support to my fellow "re-committed -ers"

Oh today is day four on induction for me. Yeah!

Summary of induction is -so far so good. My mind is in a great place right now...completely sure that this is it. I simply have to lose the weight. But I do feel stuck as to what to eat besides eggs and bacon and lettuce. Hmmm.

We are going away during April vacation and I'd like to be able to at least fit into my summer clothes from last year by then. Then I can move on to lose more.

Laceylyn it looks like you have a wedding coming up. Great incentive to drop pounds! Did you get your dress? It can always be taken in. Good luck!
