    Hello all!!

Just wanted to introduce myself! I was on Atkins a few years ago and lost 32 lbs but found the eating too hard to stick too and was out of here in a few months. I am HOPING that I can pull it off this time!

I started again a week ago today (March 12) at 202 lbs. I lost 6 lbs and am now at 196. I feel pretty good and so far, the food isn't bothering me. I have no problem with the water, infact even before I started this I drank almost a gallon a day, if not more.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all!!
    Have A Blessed Day!

    Hi Cookie

We must have restarted around the same time - today is day eight for me (7 lbs down).

It's great you already drink a lot of water. My husband wasn't driking it at first untill I convinced him to and now the pounds are melting off him too.

Hi cookie! Did you find your foods boring last time? Or did you find them inconvenient? A plan is the best way to combat both problems! I like to prep a lot of my food after I go grocery shopping. I cut up veggies and portion them into ziploc baggies, and I buy things like cheesesticks for my lunches. THey're already perfectly portioned into 1oz. servings. Also, when I'm grilling, I will grill a whole package of chicken breasts or tenders, that way I can grab one for a snack or a meal anytime! Boiling a dozen eggs at a shot also saves time. Eggs are a perfect food and a quick, cheap, and easy snack!

Many people complain of boredom, so it's important to try LOTS of new foods! Check out Linda's site for great recipes.

Another reason people often get bored is because they stay on induction far too long, thinking this will help them lose more weight! OWL is a great place to be, you add more foods and STILL keep losing weight!

      Best of success.

        Re: Hello all!!

Julie, I did stay on induction for the whole time last time and I guess I did get bored with the food. I've spent a better part of today on the recipe site and have written down a lot of recipies. My concern is my dh. While he supports me, his first words to me when he found out I was trying this again was "WHY are you putting yourself through this? you got bored so fast last time" SOOOOO therein lies my dilema!! lol

I do the cooking in our home so he'll be stuck with whatever I make. Although we do grill a LOT so thats helpful as well. I dont' know what I'm trying to say except that I'm happy to be here and have the support!!
I will definately check out LInda's recipies!!

        God Bless!!

Hi Cookie and welcome back. Follow Julie's plan and you cant go wrong. Thats the way to do it and stick with it. May I make another suggestion? This might seem silly but I would lose the 'cookiedoughlover' name. Cookie dough is now a thing of your past so why torture and remind yourself of it everytime you log on? Just reading your name and I imagined cookie dough ice-cream. An old favorite. Just a suggestion.
