  • Wednesday Morning Roll Call!

    Good Morning My Fellow STACer's!

    Scooter here with a quick check in and Roll Call. Did you all bring your food to work with you today? Have you entered your daily allotments into www.fitday.com. What is your exercise plan for the day? Oh yes!

    Myself, sitting here at work with all my neat little packages to put in the refrigerator. Just filled the ol 74 ouncer walmart special water jug from the faithful water cooler. Just finished entering todays feast into fitday.

    No exercise today. (What Scooter are you mad!!!!! No exercise!!!!!)

    Yup. Playing out tonight.....Ahhhh the lights, the smell of food (all of which I can't have...but that's okay...I don't want it anyway.....), and tables full of family's and couples out for an enjoyable evening on the town, and your faithful narrator blasting out hit after hit for 4 hours. Life is good!!

    Morning Scooter, getting rdy to pack my lunch sometimes doing that helps me to want to eat a little something in the morning so I quit packing it the night before. Will enter to fitday tonight. Did not drink enough yesterday and I feel it today. WATER WATER WATER today. I did ride the E bike 10 minutes last night, I know that does not sound like a lot but it will build up, gotta start somewhere !! Plan on having a good day today.
    will check in tonight and see whats up. This forum really helps me keep a mindset thanks everyone that checks in.

      HI everyone, just checking in. Today has started off as a good one, i know i dont check in here very often anymore, just dont want to seem like im up and down on being on plan, just trying to take it one day at a time, went shopping on Monday and bought all kinds of salad veggies to get this going in the right direction again. I really hate salads im not even going to lie, so even though i bought romaine lettuce to make salads, i also bought some peppers and mushrooms to sauteed in olive oil by themselves, yummy. The jicama at walmart looked like it was rotten, so will have to go elsewhere for that, but that is some good stuff, still have not found the daikon though so have no idea what it taste like. Well anyway i will go and check in later.

      Oh yeah quick question, hopefully someone can answer on the check in thread, i bought some davini syrup and found putting it in my coffee just a splash then i only use one packet of sweetner instead of two, is that acceptable, it taste almost illegal lol, it is really good though, and i finally found it at walmart, so any input will be appreciated!!!

        Good morning Scooter!

        I'm doing great. No atkins induction flu as of yet. I am drinking plenty of water water water. Wow....i forgot how much i used to drink....my body is loving it! I had a good run last night and plan on going again this evening!

          Good morning. Checking the ketostix is proving that I'm in ketosis so somethings happening, as with the scale, walking up the stairs at work, etc.. etc..

          Still need to get back in the gym but one thing at a time.

            Morning All! So today is day 3 for me and so far so good. I am slowly getting to where I can drink a whole gallon of water a day again even though I am constantly in the bathroom. I started my morning out with 2 eggs scrambled with two tablespoons of chopped seasoning and a slice of American cheese on top with some sandwich meat (sliced rotisserie chicken) on the side. For lunch I brought 2 hamburger patties with green onions and crumbled bacon mixed into them and some faux potatoes and tonight I will have some hot wings with a salad on the side. I was watching tv last night and came across an episode with Rachel Ray making Portobella Mushroom fries so I think I may try that this weekend, although she used breadcrumbs & parmesan in her recipe I figure I can just use extra parmesan and romano cheese and it would work just as good, Yumm.

              I made a smoothie for breakfast (not induction friendly) that had 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1 scoop vanilla whey protein and 4 strawberries and 2 tbspns of DaVinci vanilla syrup.

              Lunch, I'll have some chicken breast and jicama. I've got to find something for a fat though. hrrrmmmmm....

              I have no idea what dinner will be. Going to run after work today and maybe go lift some weights too.

              I'm working on 75 ounces of water already...

                  Hey everybody, Boy STAC is full, full of wonderful people on a great journey....
                  It can be done, I am telling ya, hang in there newbies, work your plans all the way out, don't look at the scale too much, it only tells part of the story.
                  Eat right, drink the water, and exercise...three prongs to success!!!

                  Presntly I am sitting in my Mother's hospital room. I spent the night, and then went home after 24 hrs. I was going to run, shower change and pack up food and return.
                  Got as far as a trip to the bathroom, when the phone rang, seems Mother came completely unglued, and they were calling me to come right back in...We have to keep her calm, and my absence was causing a panic type attack! No running, barely got enough food together, but did change clothes...
                  Plan B, (HOPE ALL YOU GUYS HAVE PLAN 'B''s in your pockets) Plan B, will be trips up and down the stairs. Yesterday I joined the "climbing flights challenge" over in Exercise challenges. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...d=1#post627442

                  WHERE THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY! While at the hospital, I can do flights of stairs, and ounces of water. I can compete against newly made goals. I can still get alot done here. Flexibility and willful desire to keep it all together motivates me to endure.
                  Join a challenge, keep moving forward, keep creating momentum. Then when you need the extra help, that momentum is there to help carry you when you've been up half the night and or have crisis in your life...You can still keep going on this lifestyle, IF YOU'RE LIVING A LIFESTYLE....
                  If it's just a diet, it will probably get dropped in crisis! Believe me people, I'm in crisis, and I am making it happen...I don't want to live anyother way now...

                      Good morning everyone! Today is day 4 and I'm going strong. Yesterday, I didn't drink as much water as I should, so I'm churnin' and burnin' today! Had two hardboiled eggs and some chicken (I like to keep it in the family...LOL) for breakfast; will eat tuna and a nice, fresh salad with blue cheese for lunch. Am leaving to do my 2 mile walk in a minute. So far, so good!

                        good morning...I am sittin here with my back covered in bengay...lol seems my energy got the best of me yesterday and I have hurt myself...total lack of moderation...
                        I swear I am my own worst enemy more days than not...lol

                        oh well I won't be using this as a reason to feel bad for myself and eat bad...I will use it as a reason to eat really well and hopefully heal faster so I can get back to takin care of business

                          Hi all, finally getting a chance to get back in here daily for reading how everyone is and check-in. I missed you all.

                          Lisa, Congratulations on getting off to a good start today! Your mushrooms sound so good. Our lettuce terrible this time of year, and I usually like salads. Keep up the good work today! I love the Divinci syrups too. It's fine for us to use, and I love it in my coffee. Since it has atrificial sweetner in it and is pure sweetness, I quit adding the packets of Splenda and save those carbs that are in the powder for other foods. I make sure my "splashes" don't become "glubs" by measuring by the Tablespoon and keeping track of how much I use. And I count the carbs if I use enough to count in a day. I don't have a bottle to check now, but it seemed the chocolate syrup I used had the carbs listed on it for 1/2 cup of the syrup. It was not a lot of carbs, but still they should be checked.

                          This morning, I read where Becky (dreamof145) posted to someone returning...

                            Good afternoon all! Hope everyone had a great, successful day! I did pack my lunch today for work: 4 slices of roast beef (thin), some cheese, a hard boiled egg and WATER. I finally remembered the stuff!!! I was SO grossed out this morning to find out that Tim Hortons Vanilla Cappucinos have 39 carbs for ONE!! Holy Cow! That was my breakfast for so long, its really sad to know that I put so much garbage into my system. I haven't craved one at all and I feel great about that! Now, if only the pop issue would go away LOL

                            We had a very wonderful dinner and I even got my fiance to eat Peas with his meal instead of potatoes! Thats awesome for him! I personally can't stand peas, so I had broccoli instead, but I can see where I'm started to rub off on him; which is good because his cholesterol is through the roof!

                            I have a huge state inspection at work tomorrow so I hope everyone has a great day!

                              Evening all! Had a great start to the day today, I broke down and bought new scales, and I'm down 7 pounds from what I was at the doctor's office a couple of weeks ago. I've been on inducation for 10 days and am seeing positive results! I actually broke down in tears at the dr's office earlier this month after I saw how much I weighed. So, here I am , making positive changes. Lunch today for me was at a cafeteria - pan grilled fish and a big salad. I am actually starting to crave salads again. I have quit coffee, which is easy for me now that spring is on the way. I am down to only 1 diet coke every couple of days - and that is a HUGE change for me. I am so glad that I found this forum and all of the positive energy that it pours out to all members. Hope everyone had a great evening..
