Hi Princess. The trick is to get right back on the program. Instead of appetitie suppresants, use exercise and water. Drink water (you may be thirsty instead of hungry) when you have the urge and take a walk, exercise or come here to the ADBB to be around others who encourage you to keep going.

What always worked for me was to go brush my teeth when I was having 'cravings' that weren't healthy.

Make a plan to succeed. Write out what you are going to eat for the next few days, have healthy acceptable snacks in zip-lock baggies for the grabbing when you feel you are about to cheat. Why do you go off plan? Are you an emotional eater? Do you have something going on that is causing you to want to munch? If so, figure out what and what are some recourses you can take besides eating?

For motivation, get photos, quotes, self talk to yourself....write out why you want to lose the weight. Read it when you are feeling vulnerable. You can do this. We're all here to help you succeed...we're always just a 'click' away on your computer...so instead of eating, sign in.

Best wishes - keep us posted on how its going.

That there....is some good advice!! LOL my Indiana is slipping....

That is some excellent advice. Keep those snacks handy. Keep hard boiled eggs. If I'm feeling esepcially 'cravy' I pop a hard boiled egg and down a big glass of water. I think I've said this somewhere...but anyhoo...keep your 'before' picture with you always. Before you eat that piece of candy....stare at that picture and you will get strength from it!

I know you're trying. Don't use appetite suppressants, do it naturally....you know YOU CAN DO IT, YOU WANT TO DO IT!

        I'm in your corner Princess....

Oh, Sweetie... I know it is tempting to use an appetite suppressant. I did for a while on my first time around. I can honestly say that it is not a magic bullet. Some days it seemed like it was going to work, but most times, damn if I wouldn't eat what I wanted anyway! If those things really worked, there would be no overweight people in the world.

I'm not sure what will be the catalyst for you to dig in and do this, but I do know one thing... Don't give up!! Once you decide once and for all that you do have the power within you (and you most certainly DO!), you will be able to do this without the artificial means (suppressants)

Keep posting, my friend. You will do absolutely great once you really decide to do it. We are here for you.

Hi Princess Leah, Along with the best advice above here, make sure you are eating enough, if you're hungry. Just don't go over the amounts that have limits, but hit the meats and hard boiled eggs, like Scooter mentions. When I have felt hungery during Induction, I keep a small bowl of left overs...sliced beef steak, pork, or chicken wings, chicken or some pepperoni. Make an omlette ar a scrambled egg. And for me, it's hard to believe what small amount makes me full again. At times like this, I would think I was real hungry, so I would get about 6 slices of pepperoni. One or two slice does the trick. This could be what you need to get over those times.
