    Good Morning STACer's,

    Well, once again, mother nature has her way of saying she is in charge. It's not only raining, it's pouring down rain! Sigh.

    Oh well. I wanted to say that I'll be MIA this afternoon and all weekend (computer access). I'm making a 3 hour trek to do 4 shows this weekend. 1 Tonight, 2 tomorrow, and 1 Sunday. So, it's a busy weekend. I have my cooler packed with all my goodies for the trip. A case of bottled water. Oh yeah, my guitar. haha. Music is the best.

    I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend. Drink your water! Do your exercises! Stay on target!

    Hey Scooter, good morning STAC...Another day rises up above the horizon, from the hospital room, we are high enough up that there is a little drama unfolding with the sunrise. You know, this place ADBB well it's part of my morning, it's stronger than a cup of coffee, and more addictive! It helps me set my mind's pace for the day! I am absolutely certain this place truly helps me focus on my weight loss. It's here that I begin to touch on my goals for the day or week, and to look over my longer term goals...Even in crisis, I can maintain this routine of mentally touching down on each area of my lifestlye, food, water and exercise...no matter what happens in our medical crisis, I can and will maintain this daily routine...

      I was off of work Wednesday and Thursday, but I do have to work today and tommorow. Ah, well... such is life.

        Good Morning Everyone, just checking in this morning. Got my excercise in yesterday and going walking this morning with my hubby so taking those baby steps to get back in the swing of things.

        Scooter, i hope you have a safe trip and lots of fun!!!!

        Jess, im still praying for you girl. YOur the one of the strongest people i know.

            Morning !. I signed up for the 6wk wk 34 challenge thing this morning, it starts on the 25th, glad there is not an exact timer on how long to exercise, this turtle is pretty slow.
            some day I might have y'alls enthusiasm Scooter and Jess, its just too early for people to be awake yet today, especially me.

              Happy Friday! Day 6 is in progress; have taken advice to ditch the Morning Start Atkins bars and substituting with celery. Still walking 2 miles every day, bringing my lunch, drinking LOTS of water and using fitday to track.

              I feel really good about myself today. The scale isn't dwindling rapidly, but my skirt doesn't feel as tight as it did last week. Measure on Sunday!

              Once again, thanks to all STACers. I've drawn more enthusiasm and motivation in 5 days than I've been able to muster in 6 months. STAC ROCKS.

                Good morning everyone! Just struggling to get motivated enough to get to work this morning. Yuck. Ready for day #2 with no caffeine. I'm pretty focused on that right now and I know that will be one goal completed. I've done it before and I will do it again. It's pretty gloomy around here today--looks like Scooter's rain is on its way to Michigan. Stormed yesterday so I guess spring is finally here! Got outside and played with my son yesterday for about an hour, which felt great!

                Good luck at your gigs this weekend, Scooter! Music IS wonderful!

                    I think the scale hates me too, I'm UP a half pound from last week! I *think* it's water...I wasn't expecting to lose much this week (I went out and had a couple of drinks for St. Patty's Day) but I was hoping to lose SOMETHING. Ahh! Oh well, keep on trekking, huh?

                      Happy Friday everyone! Day 4 and so glad it's Friday. It's been a rough week at work. I'm sitting here at my desk eating scrambled eggs and cheddar and I just dropped a big forkful down the front of my shirt and onto my keyboard! I sure hope that when I'm thin, my chest and belly won't get in the way of my mouth so much!! Such a klutz today. I was up .5lb this morning. I know, I know, I shouldn't weigh myself everyday, but I'm still on Induction, so I figure I'm doing well if I ONLY weigh myself ONCE a day!

                        Good Morning & a Happy Friday to all! Day 5 for me and still going strong. I was trying to avoid getting on the scale until Monday which would have made one whole week for me, but I was anxious to see how I had done and got on it this morning and to my surprise I am down 8lbs. I think this was just what I needed to keep myself in check for the weekend for that is when I mess up usually. Also I had been anticipating the induction flu all week, but have yet to get any headaches or anything which is great because the first time around I really suffered. I am finally over the sinus/upper resp infection from last week so Monday I will start back at the gym .

                        Scooter good luck with your gigs this weekend and Jess I am keeping you and your family in my prayers.

                          Thanks all and good luck.

                          Feeling a little worn out and tired. It really wasn't until I got here to where I don't feel discouraged anymore.

                          I won't lie to you. Here's my thoughts this morning.


                          Install of new hard drive last night didn't go well, the UP I had at work yesterday is going to be short lived. 280, I was 280 yesterday morning too, no weight loss.

                          What am I doing wrong ? I'm giving this up, that up, this up, have a final exam this weekend AND refinancing the house stuff to get together ... blah .. blah ....Hey you know I owe it to myself to just jump off the wagon one day. My induction hasn't been as clean as it should be. I'll just reset the "clock" and get back on the deal come Monday. I am going to have me some pancakes Sunday morning.


                          Then you come here to this place and it's all like ....

                          I wish they'd sticky it so it won't get buried. Think I'm going to print it out and paste it to my mirror, my fridge, my forehead, (lol)

                          But it immediately got my head out of my rear end and changed my thinking.

                          I do owe myself a great reward, two weeks on Atkins so far. A few ill informed choices and a continual "slowwwwwwly pulling the caffiene" band-aid off. I owe myself ...


                          Kicking it up a notch.

                          If I can last all week with one cup, I can probably last a week without one cup.
                          I haven't been to the gym yet to stretch and I'm starting the 6 week challenge thing.

                          All in all, I've lost almost two inches from the waist line (probably inflammation) and last night had me an induction friendly Italian Soda from that receipe site ....

                          There it is. And I had

                          ITALIAN CREAM SODA
                          2-4 tablespoons Da Vinci sugar free syrup, any flavor
                          1 tablespoon heavy cream
                          1 cup club soda
                          Ice


                          Mix the first three ingredients in a tall glass. Add enough ice to fill the glass.

                          Makes 1 serving

                          Per Serving: 54 Calories; 6g Fat; trace Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; 0g Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs


                          I'm not sure how authentic this version is but it tasted very good. I just guessed at the amounts and added them to taste. I used some strawberry and French vanilla syrups and that combination was very nice. I think that I'll have fun trying some other syrup flavors.

                          I used DaVincis

                          Tasty stuff

                            Happy Friday everyone! I had my first workout at the Y this morning. It went pretty well, feeling pretty pumped right now. I don't know what on the agenda for the weekend yet. Waiting to find out if the in-laws are going to take the kids, if they do I have a huge list of home improvement items to tackle. If not, I'm sure we'll be outside a lot with the kids enjoying this gorgeous weather!

                            War, I have all the ingredients to make one of those cream sodas, maybe I wil do it for dessert tonight, thanks for sharing.

                              Not much going on with me just chugging along. I need to drink more water and exercise, what else is new!

                              I have a sick child home today so I have to stay home and relax a bit. If she wan't home I'd be running around like a chicken with my head cut off!
