  • Sunday Confessions

I don't know what happened to me yesterday, but I had an AWFUL one. My fiance and I bowled in a Fundraiser last night and I just lost all control. I ended up having 2 pieces of cheese pizza when I found out the grill was closed. UGH. I came to the realization of just how much I associate food with fun! How sad that makes me! We had even went to the movie theater earlier in the day and the first thing I thought about was popcorn. I didn't have any though, he was smart enough to bring beef jerky lol

I feel so crappy today. Such hard work for me right down the tubes.

    Yuck.

Your hard work is only down the tubes if you let your cheat rule what you eat today. If you have the attitude of well I ate like crap last night so I might just as well eat crap today then you are right your doomed.

But, if you say ok I messed up last night, I will drink extra water today and eat a perfect Atkins day then it was just a bump in the road.

    Good Luck and good choices

      Re: Sunday Confessions

That's right. Don't let one bump in the road derail the whole trip. YOU CAN DO IT! It's unrealistic to think that you'll never eat another piece of pizza. The important thing is that if/when you do, don't let it become your WOL by feeling guilty and feeding that monkey on your back.

I've had a good weekend. The weather is beautiful today, so my husband and I worked outside for about 2 hours. We had my parents over for breakfast and I whipped up my famous 'baked eggs'. They had some fruit and I just ate more eggs. lol

My official results for the week are a loss of 3.5 lbs. Sounds so SMALL, but it isn't, is it?

The others are right... it's not the particular "cheat" that causes failure... it is your reaction to the cheat. Meaning, if you get immediately back on plan, you will be fine. It's when you let that one specific "cheat" turn into hours, days, weeks, etc. of cheating. Lord knows I've been there in the past...

            Re: Sunday Confessions

I agree with the rest...don't let it rule how you take today..tomorrow...the day after that and so on. It was just one meal...one day...put it behind you and move on.

Besides...just remember next time that you can have the Pizza just don't EAT the crust and instead of just Cheese pizza get the deluxe (just watch the sodium on it) and you have an Atkins Induction friendly meal minus the crust.
