  • Monday - Roll Call

    Good Morning my fellow lovely STACer's,

    Wow what a weekend. Well for all my dilegence and hard work, I was rewarded with another 2 pounds off. Sweet. I didn't eat much this weekend, working and all, so I'm not really sure it's true. We'll see. Anyway, shows went great, they want me back, and I wasn't even tempted with bad food at all. Went to Cracker Barrell for breakfast, Golden Corral for dinner one night, and other than a couple energy drinks...(don't worry my fellow friends, they were made with splenda and not aspartame....) I feel it was a successful weekend.

    Hope everybody is ready to kick back high in gear this week. Weather appears to be cooperating too. Time to get out there and do that exercise, garden work, plant those fresh veggies for the summer!! Hey, even if you only have a patio, plant a tomato plant and a pepper plant.

    We cooked out on the grill yesterday, I made some faux-potato salad. (Indiana Style) Cauliflower, Hard Boiled Eggs, Mayo (home-made), Mustard, Celery Seed, Celery, Dill Pickle cut up, needless to say, the family (even though they are not eating a low carb lifestyle) pretty much scarfed it down.
    After we had ate, someone mentioned how good the potato salad was. I just smiled, didn't say a word, until they noticed I ate it too!! Surprise!! I love it.

    Great post!

    Glad you have enjoyed your weekend and congrats on the weightloss!

    Your faux potty salad sounds delicious. I've yet to attemp fauX pottys etc...but maybe the salad is something I will try in the near future.

    Weather was lovely here yesterday also. A real spring day!

    Anyway back to work...well browsing these boards whilst the boss isn't looking!

      Good morning...way to go on your wkend losses.

      I had a good weekend, stuck close to the forum for support. I am began my 2nd wk of re induction yesterday and I woke up to a 2 oz gain yesterday. I am happy to say it was gone this morning along with 4 more oz for a 6oz loss. I am really pleased with how this round of Atkins is going for me and I feel really empowered.

      Yesterday was a wonderful Spring Day for us. Today will be nice to but I will be stuck in school for an Advisory meeting on Special Ed. I am a Parent Advisor and they are ordering lunch from the Tasty Treat (Local Ice cream/fast food place)...they assured me there are salads etc. So first thing I will do this morning is look at the menu and if I don't see anything I might have to zip home for my lunch and then go back for the rest of the meeting. Its an all day thing. I am not about to let anything derail me on my 2nd week. lol

        Good Morning, just checking in today. Had a pretty decent weekend myself, had some really nice weather here and we went out and enjoyed it. I started the 6 week challenge and i challenged myself to do 5 out of 7 days so hopefully in 6 weeks i will have lost some inches lol. WEll i hope everyone has a great day and i will check in later.

          Wow! It sounds like you had a great weekend on all fronts. The weather was wonderful here too. I managed some bike riding everyday and yesterday the whole family took a bike ride together which was a lot of fun. Too bad it's supposed to rain a lot this week. I haven't weighed in yet today, but so far I've lost 5lbs in 6 days which is great. Dh has lost 7lbs.

            Lisa - 5 out of 7 will = inches!!! Good for you!! I need to make that challenge too....hmmm....nice goal to start today!!

            Wheresmyfeet - 'Browsing while the boss isn't looking....omg....we're the same...haha - oh yeah the Faux recipes sometimes are REALLY good!

              Hey all!

              Well my weather wasn't QUITE as gorgeous as all of yours was, but it was decent. It was a bit of a long weekend, as I played nurse to my boyfriend who has a bad case of bronchitis. I actually took him in to the ER on Saturday morning (our town has no walk-in clinics or something?) because he collapsed on the floor when he tried to stand. But I've been feeding him good foods, water, vitamins, and he's taking meds so he's on the road to recovery!

              I did take a break from playing nursie yesterday to go for a run...I ran 6.5 miles! No walking, no stopping, just 6 1/2 miles straight in about 1 hour and 20 minutes...and there were LOTS of tough hills, yikes. Surprisingly I'm not TOO sore this a.m., at least not as sore as I've been in the past.

              I'm anticipating a hungry day today from yesterday's run...I was STARVING yesterday, too!

                Yikes Julie!!! Scary moments, I hope he's okay. Aren't our bodies just plain bizarre sometimes. They know when to say 'enough is enough'. Glad he's feeling better.

                Oh yes...and..................WOW 6 and half miles!!!! You go girl!! That is sooo cool. I do not know how you do that! (Actually I guess it's a case of just doing it....) but much much kudo's to you!! That makes me want to get out tonight and run again. Thank you!

                  Good weekend for me too...glad everyone else had a good one as well. I joined the Exercise Challenge with a 5/7 commitment. Feeling good with a 3.5 loss for my first week.

                  The weather was gorgeous at my place yesterday, so I worked outside most of the day AND took a 2 mile walk. My arms are sore this morning from all the raking, but that's a good thing.

                    Had a great weekend. WOrked in the yard on Saturday and made confetti eggs for easter. Been saving shells since October last year. So we had a lot to do!

                    I' still tired. We just laid around yesterday and i think not being busy tends to make me over tired.

                      I had a good weekend...I was able to get out and run both Sat afternoon and Sunday morning, 2miles each day! Eating light these days, struggling with no appetite, but am forcing myself...Yougurt and bacon this morning, wonderful chicken salad last night...
                      Today I am doing 50 flights of stairs in celebration of my friend Adena's achievement of running a half marathon... 10 flights down!

                        Good Morning...

                        Well, Sundays are my weigh-in day, so I hopped (Ok, Tip-toed) onto the scale and saw (drum roll, please!).... no change whatsoever! It was a little disappointing, as I have lost every week since my restart at the end of February and had stepped up my exercise last week.

                        It's all good, though! I am going to "practice what I preach" and not go insane over the number on the scale. I'm living the Atkins way, now, so this is not a diet... it's just the way I eat.

                          Morning thought I was going to sleep in this morning but. My sweetie is one of those freak anomalies that rise and shine. I would much rather stay up late and sleep in. hehe
                          Went grocery shopping yesterday but did not get enough stuff to make snack packets for the week sooo back to the store today. Do not want to get caught without good munchies.

                            Stick are still turning ...pinkish. Weight is at 278 this morning on the home scale in boxers.

                            Feeling better, almost like the induction flu thing is passing.

                              my weekend was great...still sore from working in the yard for 5 hours on saturday...but it is a good sore...lol
                              I am back down 2 lbs...but was still there this morning...wondering if I might have messed up with a recipe...I got it from the atkins site...it was in the induction section...it was the shrimp scampi...and it called for 1/2 cup of dry white cooking wine...I used it last night and kinda worried I jacked myself up...I sure hope not...but time will tell
