  • Sugar Free Jello?

    Hi everyone...

I am almost through week 2 of induction...loving it. I have losy 12 pounds so far. Sunday will be 14th day, so not too bad I guess. Don't really know how much you are supposed to lose though.

I am sick now though. My hubby and baby gave me a nasty cold and although I have not found it hard sticking with the plan...I am really craving Juice because I am sick.

Can I have sugar free jello instead justto give me the cold sweet juice feeling? I just have that nasy sick taste in my mouth.

The first time I did this I ate tons of Sugar free jello thoughout the six months and it didn't cause a problem..but this time i am not trying to diet I am trying to change the way I eat and the way I look at food- for fuel not for enjoyment!

I am totally detoxed form all caffiene and diet sodas and consuming lots of water...

So would the jello hurt me?

    Advice please!

Each person is different so I can't really say if it would hurt you or not. If it didn't bother you before, it may not now. I would advice against "tons" of it though! Once in a while is more like it.

It sounds like you're doing really well! That's great. I like how you've changed your eating mentality. Congrats on your loss! I hope you feel better soon!

      SD209,

I'm so sorry you aren't up to par! In most cases I would say no, but since your really sick, I know some people do like hot liquids, like a comfort food. The problem with Sugar Free Jello is that it is made with Aspartame instead of splenda. Aspartame is very bad for you and causes stalls in some people. I'm not sure what to do in this case, obviously you aren't straying from the plan, so I don't think (in this specific case) that it should hurt you.

So, that being said, I'm ready to put my hand on the side of the desk to have my knuckles smacked by the experts....

      Whack away....

I do hope you get to feeling better!
