  • Sunday Morning STAC Check In

    Good morning STACers,
I'm Jess, most of you newbies don't know me, and from reading the check in's lately I can see I don't know most of you...STAC is where I formed my first friendships here at ADBB, starting in August. I've been in a crisis with my Mother's health off and on since Christmas. Presently she is in a slow recovery and we truthfully didn't believe she'd make it. I've practically lived at the hospital...BUT, enough of that.
I love STAC, and the friendships we form here, and the daily enocouragement we give to each other...We may have been around before, but we face the same struggles and pull with foods. Our mistakes have taught us something we can use this time around to better ourselves! Thats good news.

We all have learned things that this time we will do differently and that really is empowering. DO THEM!

When you can learn from a mistake and try again, you are not a failure. THAT'S WISDOM.

Everyone who comes here today and is focused and trying to eat right, drink all that water and exercise is NO FAILURE

It's our attitudes and effort that make us successful and its our tenacity to not give up until we get there that makes is great! I WANT TO BE GREAT!

Our renewed self control and vision of who we can be, separates us from who we were! I AM CHANGED!

Daily I am aware I am not who I was in August, I don't look the same, but mostly I don't respond to stress and suffering and grief the same way at all. I do not eat emotionally, drink emotionally and sit on the couch fatigued like I use to. I am no longer controlled by terrible mood swings from bloodsugars gone haywire! My problems are big, and they feel overwhelming, but since I've become a different person, they DO NOT OVERWHELM me to the point where I return to my former self.

DO ATKINS LONG ENOUGH, FIGHT FOR THIS LIFESTYLE HARD ENOUGH and YOU WILL BE TRANSFORMED...THE GREAT NEWS IS, when stress and crisis come, YOU DON"T HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE OLD SELF!

You know what works, WORK IT
You know what to avoid at all cost, AVOID IT
You know what to do just for today, JUST DO IT!

YOU will be transformed over the daily routines and habits you make, because they are what make you!

    Good morning everyone!

Thanks, Jess for the inspiration. You and Scooter keep my enthusiasm and motivation sky high.

Yesterday was my last day of induction and I am debating about whether to stay on it or move to OWL. I've got to do some reading and make my decision. Any advice? I weighed this morning and am down another 1.5 lbs! My loss is VERY slow, but 5 are GONE and and GONE FOR GOOD!!!

It looks to be a beautiful day here to start April. Hope everyone has a successful and inspiring day.

        Good morning...
I am looking forward to another new week on Atkins.
I was down a bit yesterday because I have been up and down the same 4 oz. I was worried that the 2 new meds I began this week were throwing me a roadblock with Induction and WL. I am HAPPY to say that despite stress and sadness with the loss of my cat...I had a lil WHOOSH this morning and I lost 1.4 lbs overnight. My Induction loss is a total of 9.4 lbs...I had hoped for MORE but I am just glad to have loss some more today. lol 12.6 lbs to go till I reach my first mini goal of 200lbs.

Good luck everyone with your new and fresh week of Atkins!

        Hugs, Mel

          Hello all!

It's a grey day here in MT but I'm still planning on an 8 mile run today! It's gotten to the point that I anticipate Sundays with excitement because I really push myself on those days...I've been thinking about 8 miles all week! I need to drink lots of water before I set out, though.

          Have a great day, STACers!

Good morning to you too! I woke up to fresh snow everywhere!

Great message this morning Outback Jess. You have a lot of passion.

And an eight mile run Julie?! How great is that? I used to run but then injured my back a year ago, so am still on the slow road to recovery. Enjoy your run....I'm jealous.

Huggija, Scooterjam and MissMel....last day of induction, some great news, and a whooshie....congratulations to all you!
Have a wonderful Sunday....enjoy, relax, keep your eye on the prize.

                Hi everyone!

I've been losing and gaining the same pound for a week now. The good news is that it's one pound lower than the pound i was gaining and losing last week, so that's good I guess. :P

I went a little wacko with the exercise though this week. eep!

Anyway still here and going strong! Gonna post a question about the exercise in a min though...

                  Hi all!!!

Outback Jess I am glad to see that you are back I really missed reading your posts. Today is the end of my induction and it wasn't bad this time I've been stalled for the last 4-5 days. Looking back at my old calanders today and I see my weight chronicles on them, I've been trying to get this same amount of weight off for years and this is enough!!!! I'm going to get it this time I will not give up!!!!

So glad to have this board for ideas, information but most of all inspiration. Thanks to you all.

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day. It is a beautiful 70 degrees today and I just finished my 3 mile walk for the day. I had a shake for breakfast and some fish for lunch which 3 carbs for the day so far. 3/4 of my water is down for the day too!

Great way to start April off!!

Good afternoon! Well, yesterday the weather was dreary and so was I. Didn't really do anything. Does a nap with my toddler count? I didn't think so. Today I went to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party and had a lot of salad. Probably too much. I think I have 4gr of carbs left for the day! Oops! I think the sun is trying to come out now, so maybe, just maybe, I'll go outside and do something.

                      Scooter, you're such a tease!
