  • I am stuck!

I am just stuck at 197! I went down to 195 about a week ago and two of the pesky buggers found their way back and now I can't rid of them! It's starting to bum me out lol I've been walking for the past 4 days, eating an average of 8-10 carbs per day and no caffeine for the same 4 days. I did my measuring last night and there's really no big difference there either.

I stopped the bars too; just to see if that would make a difference after reading what some of you have said about them. No difference there either

    hmmm....

Sample of a menu for a day looks like this:
    Breakfast:
    1 hard boiled egg
1 Atkins Shake (not everyday, but maybe 2 per week)
    If not shake, water.

    Lunch:
Salad with egg, bacon, cheese and lettuce with a smidge of ranch
    Crystal light

    Dinner:
    Some kind of meat
    Veggie--usually broccoli, cauliflower or celery
    Crystal light

I don't do "snacks"; Have been walking after dinner 2-3 miles.

doesn't seem like a whole lot of food to me and some days its hard to even get that down.

    Ketostix are still dark though.

How long have you been stuck? Have you been drinking your water? Are you counting calories because too few isn't good, either.

    Good luck

Its only been about a week, but its really frustrating me!
My calorie intake for the past week: 1214,875, 718, 1277
is that too low? Should it be more consistent everyday?

      Thanks for the help!!

oh honey - 700 calories is great - if you're Nicole Richie!! *REAL* women need more calories than that just to maintain body functions - you don't want your body to slip into 'starvation mode'....

Julirama has a site that helps to estimate daily nutritional requirements - maybe she'll be a sweetie and post it here?

Also - increase the carbs with your veggies...I found that I had stalled, too - I was doing the same thing... my calories stayed under 1000 most of the time. Once I upped the calories and my carbs to the 20 (and now to 25), I find that the scale is moving once again. (I didn't think I'd EVER leave 186!!)

        Restart -10/18/2009 - 204.6 lbs (UGH!!!)
        Goal 1 - under 200 - met 10/19/2009
        Goal 2 - 190 - met 10/25/2009
        Goal 3 - 180
        Goal 4 - 170
        Goal 5 - 160
        Goal 6 - 150
        Goal 7 - 140
        Goal 8 - 135
Goal - To zip up current pants without sucking it in-10/25/09
Goal - To need a belt/roll waistband of current pants
Goal - To wear the next size down - 11/13/09
Goal - To wear the next size down - without a muffin top!! 11/18/09
Goal - To wear 'those' jeans (ya know - the ones in the back of the closet, hidden under a winter coat)
        Day 13 - wine free/ cheat free

          Hi Heatherm422:
From everything I've read on this site, your best bet is to up your carbs! Otherwise I think your body is going into starvation mode and is hanging on to every little thing.
          Best of luck.

Ok, so I bought a new scale and tried it out.....and it was 6.5 lbs off the old scale! I didn't even know having an old scale could be that inaccurate! I even weighed my son, because he just went to the Dr. so I know what he weighed there, and it was the same for him!!

I feel better now!! Almost in the 180's YAAAAAAY I knew I was shrinking!! LOL

                  Re: I am stuck!

Hey Heather! Have you got the book? Best keep re-reading it...Think lifestyle, building a great lifestyle with food, exercise and water and suppliments! You will loose the weight, it will melt off as time goes by...But it all takes alot of time, and while your spending that time, create some wonderful habits that can support your weightloss.
This is my consistent theme, because if you don't create routines and habits to live by, you won't be able to hang on when your body rests and plataus or stalls...
Great deal on the scale....But keep in mind there are bigger things in the picture besides the numbers between the toes!!!
Glad you are finding great support here!

Thanks Jess! I am trying to work on my addiction to the scale as well; Its harder than giving up the caffeine for me!
