  • An interesting side effect of a well known problem.

    STACers,

Found a new (for me, anyway) twist on something we all know about.

We're all familiar with the idea that the natural appetite suppression that Atkins induces can lead to skipping meals that we really shouldn't skip, in a worst case scenario causing you to drive your caloric intake so low you hit starvation mode.

We all know to watch out for that little trap.

I found the hidden "gotcha" to that one today.

High speed day, too much to do, no time to eat properly, blah blah blah. You all know the song. Thanks to FitDay, I could see that even with my usual supper I was going to be way short on calories for the day.

Now, I've found that consistency is a big factor in how well this diet works. Again, I'm not saying anything new to most of us.

So I got to the end of the day today, totted up what I'd done on FitDay and figured out how to build supper that didn't blow my carbs out (14 net carbs for the day) and put everything else up where I wanted it.

I managed to eat all of it, but I feels like I'ma gonna DIE. That was an enormous meal.

So there's yet one more evil to skipping meals. The make-up assignments can hurt.
