  • Need Masssive Advice

I have made it through day 1. However, my second day is the hardest...or atleast it was the last time. I need some advice on how to make it throughout the day without giving in to temptation. I Know I have to use my willpower....but I feel so weak sometimes. I will try to drink plenty of water. But are there any certain snacks i should be snacking on throughout the day that will help me. I just can't remember.

Cheese or anything fatty. When you eat fat usually your temptation/thoughts on cheating will go down.

Good advice, Confused. My first week I brought cheese with me to work; divided it into a morning & afternoon snack. That REALLY helped me.

Hi HMF. I'm so glad to see how determined you are. IMHO the first 3 days were the worst. After I got through them everything was peachy!

You've been given great advise. When you are hungry eat something fatty. Just hang on, there is blue skies just ahead of you! If something unhealthy is calling you find something else to do. Take a walk, take a bubble bath -- just do something. Get on the ADBB and read or post.

        You can do this!

Bacon was my saving grace the first few days. The salty, fatty goodness kept me from going off. Of course now I limit my portions considerably. But for the first few days to get through find something you really enjoy that is high in fat and have at it. And drink tons of water. In a few days you will be over the hump and from there it is all good.

Hi HMF: Hope you're still doing ok this evening.
I find that checking in here several times a day helps me. Put some research time in here, copy and paste as many recipes and/or suggestions as you can, make sure you have all those things in the house and take the time to do prep work so you have boiled eggs on hand, cut up veg, cooked stir-fried chicken strips, and buy yourself the most appealing water bottle you can find!
Good luck...this is the right place to be.

                    Re: Need Masssive Advice

I use to eat sliced pepperoni, with little cubes of moz cheese melted over the top! That was like a mini pizza sans the bread... sliced ham, with cream cheese, rolled up. Bacon, I might crisp up som bacon, but my main indulgence for induction was shrimp! I bought shrimp to enjoy because it's such a treat! Another little snack is green olives, they are deeply enjoyable...anything that is fatty has alot of taste and satisfaction to it, that's what you are craving...

STICK TO IT, SOON APPETITE WILL DIMINISH AND CRAVINGS WILL SUBSIDE, KETOSIS IS A WONDERFUL THING!!!
