  • the scale moved!!

So after being stuck between 252 and 254 for about 4 weeks, today the scale finally got down to 251. Not a big loss, but it's a huge relief!! I thought I'd be stuck forever. It's hard when you want to lose a lot right away then you get stuck after 2 weeks. Darn PISS thingy.

And not only did the scale move down a notch, but I've already lost a few inches. I'm on my way!

    Re: the scale moved!!

Congrats. I know what you mean. I've been stuck between 273 - 275 since March 30. Not really seeing THAT much gone from the waist either. The initial loss between March 12 and March 30 was between 17-20 lbs, so I shouldn't complain. But I was hoping to hit a steady pace of at least 1-2 lbs a week.

We'll see, I'm going to focus on the process and enjoy it. Not the results.

God knows I wasn't "goal oriented" getting this heavy.

Wonderful news, is anything else good going on for you? I found when the numbers didn't move or they moved up and down that if I stood back and focused on other things I had alot more than numbers to celebrate...I don't know about you, but that general good feeling and thriving and excitment about gaining control, MAN those feelings had been long gone in my life, and it was wonderful to feel good about myself agian...
It's so easy to get caught up in the desperate quest for weightloss, nOW, it another thing to embrace all the things that Atkins gives you besides weight loss...
For me, how I feel can be just as skinny as the numbers say it is...

Thank you for all the comments!

Jess - Before I knew about the Post Induction Stall Syndrome I was losing hope. I have been overweight since the 2nd grade (I'm 22 now) and I was afraid it would never come off, even though I was putting so much effort into it.

I felt sorry for myself and cried when I saw my weight move up and down, but after posting on ADBB and getting so much support it completely changed my attitude. It does feel amazing, even if it takes longer than I hoped. I am proud of myself for sticking with it. What I love best is that I am not constantly snacking when I'm bored. I can't believe a big girl like me can have such a drastic change in appetite!! haha
