  • What's my problem? Will you look at my numbers?

It's been just over 3 weeks and I've only lost 10lbs. Someone on the main board said that they go into starvation mode if they eat much under 2000 calories a day, which seemed high to me. Could I be starving? According to fitday I need about 3000 calories a day. I know my percentages aren't perfect, but are they off by too much? My carbs do seem lower than I thought. You can see that my appetite has been all over the place! Here are my numbers since I started. Do these numbers scream anything at you? Thanks.

    Averages for the month
    Fat--68%
    Carbs--4% (net carbs average 16g)
    Protein--28%
    Calories--1560

Here are my calories for the last 3 weeks--
    1805 1337 1852
    1788 1822 1944
    1526 1121 1271
    1734 1260 1818
    1700 1671 1588
    1415 1189
    1488 1677
    1378 1461

everything looks fine to me and to be honest i think 10 pounds in 3 weeks is pretty good!

have you done measurements? usually it takes time for the scales to catch up to the loss...

you could always try adding an extra cup of veggies - sometimes when people move on to the first rung of OWL they start losing faster!

i dont take notice of calories, i eat what i wanna eat when i wanna eat it, if theyre under, theyre under! they aint remarkably under - and fitday doesnt actually *know* you so it could be out. Dr A did say dont count calories - i know he didnt say they didnt matter, but he did say not to worry.

Has your weightloss been steady? or has it just stopped? it could be PISS?

I know that I'm not supposed to count calories. I really do. I really haven't paid much attention to them until today. There was a lot of talk about starvation mode on the main board and I started to look at the numbers. I'm sure I should know what PISS is, but I can't figure it out! I haven't lost anything in 8 days and I'm actuall up 1lb.

Post Induction Stall Syndrome - happens to the most of us, usually dont lose in weeks 3 and sometimes 4! but if your measuring weekly you will see you're still shrinking, theres a sticky about it in the extended induction board. Id seriously think about trying rung one of OWL if you think theres something else stopping you though. last time when i did atkins i had a huge loss of weight as soon as i moved up, and then i just stayed on rung one for a while as i realised my body did actually need those extra veggies to lose weight.

I looked over everything and it looks good. 10 pounds is nothing to sneeze at! Congratulations on losing 10 lbs. This is working for you. Try to be patient, this is a journey not a destination!
