  • I have to thank you guys

    Before I started posting regularly here, I was frequenting another board which has a big community as well, but the mood was just awful! So much negative energy, it's just unreal. I checked in there this morning as I haven't been there for over a month, and I was just stunned at how horrible these people are to each other. It's a site where they all claim to be so supportive and friendly, yet the opposite is clearly true.
    So bah to them...I am so happy here and am amazed at how positive this place is. It feels good when you get feedback and in turn it feels good when you give it. In fact, I think it feels even better when you give it!

    So thank you for the warm welcome I receive here every day! It means something.

              Morning, this *is* an awesome board! But it's not just the old pros, or the admins or mods, it's the newbies, the middles, the olds, EVERYBODY. It's a cumulative effort. I love how honest and encouraging this board is. People will shoot straight with you, and give you a helping hand at the same time.

              I really owe my successes to this board, and I know there are many out there who feel the same.

                I think part of the reason my last diet didn't work out was because I had no support. I made such an effort to stick with it, but whenever I'd go to the board I almost always felt worse afterwards. This board is definitely different! Thank you guys!

                  Oddly enough it's like I'm losing weight not just for myself, but I can see how others here get happy with it too! I know I get excited when I see that the wooshie fairy visited folks.

                  I'm glad this is the only board I go to.

                    This board is the reason I've been able to SUSTAIN my efforts...My early morning, daily ritual here is priceless to me... People have worked long and hard to create the atmosphere and maintain it...many many many lives have been changed because of these efforts...it's a collective good!

                      This is the best site for getting encouragement and support. I always gave up on other weight loss programs that I tried throughout my life. Just knowing that there are always friends to talk to, to share successes, to share problems, to get answers to my questions makes all the difference. I remember so many times on a diet, I always felt deprived and alone. Here in the ADBB, there is always someone who has been where I am and can lend first-hand support. This is a very special place filled with people who understand and want to help each other reach their goals. I agree, becoming active here is the best way to keep focused and enjoy the changes to make it happen!
