Well, it's been quite a while since I've been on Atkins. Thankfully, I did not experience any weight gain after dropping the lifestyle. I lost an additional 8ish pounds over the last year and two months with Jenny Craig, but I can't put up with it any more because the center is 35 mins away and I'm sick of the food. I'm 5'7", currently weigh 180ish, am a size 14m and hope to be 160 or size 10/12.
I remember yummy egg-based meals, my favorite turkey/cheese/mayo roll-ups, and pepperoni chips from Induction, which I did for about four months from March-July, 2004.
Started Induction this afternoon after my last bagel this morning at 11 AM. At 3 PM I made two hard-boiled eggs for lunch, and (perhaps it's all mindset) I wasn't even hungry for my dinner date with a friend at 7. I couldn't even believe how easy it was to pass up the breadbasket! (And I wouldn't let my friend feel guilty about eating all four pieces - she's pregnant.) So I had an amazing chicken piccata for dinner: three small breasts in lemon-caper butter sauce and asparagus - double veggie portion because I asked for no potatoes. No dessert. I hope being in the STAC is always this easy!
On the way home I picked up my meal staples and am ready to go. My live-in boyfriend, who was not in the picture first-time around, has agreed not to question my eating habits and trash talk the WOE... especially when I told him that after two months first time, my blood work was extraordinary with the lowest cholesterol, blood sugars, and other counts I have ever had.
So I just wanted to say hi and reintro myself. I look pretty much the same as I do in the white sweater in my sig, so I'll keep it until something drastic appears.
Good luck to everyone else in STAC. I should mention that the ADBB was the most amazing support to me back in '04. The mods and posters are simple fantastic. Off to go remind myself of the Induction rules.
Talk to y'all soon!
Valerie
PS - FitDay is awesome, too.
