  • Monday - Roll Call

    Good Morning STACer's,

Well it's good to see our good buddy Outback Jess in action again! Talk about achieving goals under stressful situations! Wow. We could all take a page from that book, at least I know I should.

This past Friday night was a washout. I had mixed feelings about it. They changed my hours to 12:00 midnight to 2:00 am and I watched the band before me struggle!! They said their hands were freezing. Those poor people out there running all night long.

The organizers said, Scooter it's just too cold. We don't want you ruin your equipment. Like I said, mixed feelings, I was bummed yet, relieved. I volunteered to assist them again over the summer when it's not - snowing!!!

So, I can only pop in here for a moment, I see I have lots of new folks to welcome! Everybody have a great day, I will check in later!!

Remember: Goals, Focus, Motivation! Woo Hoo

You can do this, you want to do this!!

    Life is good!

    Good Morning all,

Sorry about your Friday night not going as expected Scooter.

I lost the pound I gained, so I am now back to where I started, so I no longer have that feeling, lol.

My goal for the week- 100+ ounces of water a day.

And being a diet pepsi person, I have managed to switch myself over to the diet rite zero. I only drink about 8 ounces a day of it, but it satifies my diet pepsi cravings.

Oh, geez, sorry to hear about the bad weather. So upsetting for fundraising events. Your heart can't help but go out to those who spent so much time preparing for it. Hopefully, twice as many will show up at the next one and respond very generously. That's happened to a ministry here when their big event was snowed out. People responded big time afterwards. Prayers up that will happen for your organization there, too.

Hi Di - I still do a splenda diet coke every so often, (I shouldn't....I need to quit) but good for you for cutting back and switching to Diet Rite!

Hi Terry! - Yeah, they were pretty heart broken, who'd have thought, snow and ice and rain, and of course Sunday (yesterday) was beautiful, still cold but sunshine...go figure??

            Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry Scotter that the bad weather hit you! Here too. We got over 8000 people without power in our county (upsdate NY), but luckily we weren't one of them. Unluckily though our building for work is leased through, and shared with National Grid Power Corp, so even if the power went out here we have enough generator power to last us a year!!

I am off for diabetes testing at 8:30 this morning through my GYN, and I will have to tell them that I am doing Atkins in case it hinders in any results, I want them to know. I am sort of dreading it because you never know what their reaction will be.

Good morning everyone. I'm sorry about your gig Scooter. Somehow the bad weather missed us yesterday, but I think it's found us today. Sandy, I bet in a few days you're going to see a big turnaround. Women's bodies like to mess with our minds!

Yesterday I bought a cheapy woman's magazine at the grocery check-out. I know, I should know better. There was an article about women walking off their belly fat. They suggested that 20-somethings are fat from stress and that listening to music while walking works better. The 30-somethings are fat from chilbearing and should pull their bellybuttons in while walking. The 40-somethings are peri-menopausal and do better walking slower and longer. I fit ALL the categories!! (by events, not age) So I went for a 45min walk last night and held in my belly. Maybe I should reconsider and get one of those new-fangled walkmans called an ipod! LOL! Of course then I wouldn't hear the birds singing.

                Happy Monday everyone.

                  Re: Monday - Roll Call

Happy Monday everyone, just checking in this morning. My weekend was pretty good, im a little upset the scale is not moving but i went ahead and peeked at my inches last night, since im doing the 6wk challenge and im losing inches, so i will take that lol. Last night i thought about caving in, i was so hungry and was ready to eat the house lol, but for real i was on my way home and was thinking about pulling in to a drive thru and just eating anything, but i just waited until i got home and made me 2 turkey burger patties and turnip fries and then finally i was satisfied and happy that i didnt go off plan. I really think i was having some effects off of the low carb barbeque sauce because i just ate at 1:30 some ribs and there is no way i could have been starving by 6pm so i think i got my hunger mixed up with cravings, so no more barbeque sauce for me. Well i hope everyones day is a great one and i will check back in later!!!!

Good Morning! Scooter I'm sorry about Friday night, that really stinks!

I just have to respond about the music while walking, I have been borrowing my husbands iPod and I LOVE that thing. It REALLY makes walking on the treadmill very enjoyable and I have my playlist with all very fast paced, upbeat songs and it keeps me moving faster too! I am going to buy my own this week - I'm getting one of the new clip on shuffles - it will be perfect for me.

My goal for the week is to continue my 100 oz of water daily and add in the exercise, I want to do at least four days of walking, and start crunches and pushups this week too.

                            Hey all!

I had an eventful weekend. I was a chaperone for prom on Saturday night, and I think somehow I ended up with food poisoning...at least, I'm convinced that's what it was. The first time in my life I actually *liked* a hot wing, it makes me sick! So yesterday I was feeling pretty cruddy, like I'd been run over by a semi. Thankfully, towards the evening I felt a lot better and was able to eat some decent food! Today I feel almost back to normal, I just wish it were still the weekend.

Today I'm planning on going for a run AND doing boot camp, as I didn't get to exercise yesterday. Have a great day, all!

I think I've found the MOAS (Mother of All Stalls) but .... no worries. Like I tell myself, I wasn't this "results oriented" as a I was getting fat.

Purchased and did one of those Tae Bo DVD workouts. Tough stuff, looking forward to more.

Have an MRI on my shoulder and we'll see, I'd love to get back into lifting some heavy weights. Lost a lot of fat doing that a few years back.

Narrowly averted the "Loss stalled, let's jump off the wagon for a day" lie fest this weekend at Cracker Barrell. Wife kept me honest, plus, since I've become the local version of the Atkins Police in my family (three of whom are doing Atkins) I need to set the example. So, here's to the Atkins Police here for showing me how it's done.

This week it's cutting out coffee by the end of the week. I need to see what or if that's what has been the stall factor.

                              Good Luck people.
