  • Induction Flu

Long story short, after being off of Atkin's for 2 years, decided that this WOE was the only way I can lose the weight I need to and be able to keep it off.

How long can this flu thing last, I feel like ? Headache, stomach hurts, kinda dizzy, you name it....

I vaguely remember trying to go back on Atkins a year or so ago and couldn't get through this part, but I have to this time, I know once it is over, smooth sailing so to speak... any advice on how to make it easier?

    Re: Induction Flu

Water, and check the book on supplements and vitamins.

One of my many inspirations on the board, Kent, conveyed his experience of having the induction flu for about three weeks.

    He has several videos ....

For me it lasted almost two weeks. When it ended, like the folks mention here, I felt better than ever and haven't looked back.

Good luck, it does get better.

      Re: Induction Flu

I had the induction flu for 4 days and then it let up...I want to applaud you in your knowledge base, at least you know what's going on.
Water, advil, tylenol, being good to yourself...eat very satisfying foods....I ate shrimp and steak in the first week, it just made me feel "good and full and satisfied" at a time like this, you need to pull out all the wonderful Atkins foods, butter, mayo, steak, fish whatever it is that you loved.
I used green olives during that week too, now that I remember....Made myself feel good and satisfied...
