  • Roll Call Thurs

    Hey Roll Call!!! Hey STACers, listen if I don't make it to start it, or if Scooter doesnt scoot by, someone around here start up the Daily Roll Call, it's ok, we're all a community, nobody is higher up or anything like that, just step up and start it! You can just say, "good morning every one, roll call"...and that's it...Not everybody has an inspiration bent to them...or some don't find it so easy to be here yet...
    Most important thing is community, being here for each other and checking in every day, it gives us a "landing pad" of fellowship and friendship. Last year I made wonderful friends with my STAC buddies, almost all of which are gone now...
    People come and go, they promise alot, and we all wait out their words...Actually we all wait out and weigh out each other's words all the time.
    There is such a warm generous and gracious spirit in STAC, I am truly proud to be here...I look forward to getting to know all of you. most of you have come along at a time when I've been only partially around...
    I am a hostess over in journal chats, and if my time is limited I start there...
    So, please step up and start the roll call, some of youearly birds!!!

      I started to do a Roll Call this morning cause I am usually on here around 5:30 or 6... I was just a waiting to report in...lol

      Everything is going well here this week.. of course this is week 3 for me..and the lbs are being stubborn.. But you know what I am noticing.. I am not as tired anymore..and when I wake up in the mornings I jump out of bed.. I use to drag myself out...and use to sleep all night and felt like I didn't sleep at all.

      I am trying new recipes... things that the family will eat.. Going to make some kind of chicken recipe tonight... Gotta go pull the chicken out of the freezer

        Early bird every day here, I am just not good at inspirational stuff. But hey, I will be happy to start the roll call off, I am usually in front of the computer by 4am or so.

        I just realized that Saturday will be the 2 week mark in induction for me! I gained the first week, but lost it all back so I am back where I started. I am not in the least discouraged tho, I know I am losing inches (can tell by my clothes), measuring day is next Wednesday and I will know for sure then. So even tho the scale (stubborn thing) isn't moving I think I will move to first rung and see how that goes.

        My strips are turning a nice deep pink/purple so I know there is a whoosie coming sometime, soon would be nice, but I am patient.

        I agree coming here every day does help keep the focus going and it makes it fun, too.

          Howdy, all. Checking in, too.

          I'm usually an early birder and do watch for this and the inspirational messages. Don't know if I have much to offer; I tend to babble on my own journal but what's on my mind or heart may not interest others. I can call up the roll call on occasion, too.

          Once it starts getting warmer in the morning, I'll be out on the bike almost first thing.

            Nice, isn't it? I think my sleep would be deeper and more regenerative except for the blasted muscles around one knee that I'm currently working on. Boy, once that gets back into shape (SOME DAY!!), I'm going to be sleeping like a rock!

              Here I am, very tired. I think I haven't been getting enough veggie carbs so I'm back to keeping track on Fitday today and had a cup of cooked spinach with my eggs and taking my vitamins this morning. I've been bad about water and caffine so I'm changing that today, also!!

              My B-Day is about a month away, May 26 and I'd like to be 5-8 pounds down by then but mostly firm and not the squishy bod I have. I'm using today to set up an early morning exercise program starting tomorrow. Exercising in the early morning just works better for me.

              Good to be here and see everyone posting. Have a GREAT Thursday everyone!

                Trying on smaller clothes and seeing that they're starting to fit puts me right into manic mode! It's so fun! Easy to ignore the scale's readings when that happens!

                This place has been everything for me where my focus is concerned. It's like I'm doing Atkins for the first time; so much of what I was doing needed correcting.

                You are so right, it's been fun! Who would have thought losing weight would be FUN?!! (Sure wasn't on any other weight loss program!)

                  Here I am, day 2. I went over last night a little on carbs and high on cals. I'm hoping for ketosis to help me sloooowww it down. I ate not so good but legal. I ate too much cheese, processed meat. I think TOM has it's ugly grip on my cravings right now but at least I ate induction foods. Good luck to everyone.

                    Hi --checking in finally! hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday!!

                    I read last night that if you go longer than 12 hours without eating, your body's metabolism can slow down by 40% until you finally eat (because your bod thinks it might be in famine...). So no more skipping breakfast for me!!!

                        It is fun, isn't it? We have our comraderie here, we can play on fitday, we can try out fun new recipes, try on clothes, we can take a break and go exercise. It is fun! LOL! Speaking of reicpes, for lunch I had a hamburger leftover from last night, made from an Atkins site recipe...you mix it with chopped tomatoes, spinach, feta and dill....soooooo good!

                          Hello All!

                          I'm definitely not the person to start the roll call--I don't get online until 7am, which is 9am for most of you guys. And I am not inspirational at all! So I'm happy to post to the rapidly-growing thread hours after its inception...

                          Today is a good day, I just ate lunch and I'm feeling good. I'm behind on my water, though, which is NOT good. It is SNOWING outside, we've got winter weather advisories, and we're supposed to get 6" today! GRRRR!!!! I can't run outside when it's like this! I haven't been running much at ALL because I've been sick--I've only got 5 miles this week! YIKES! Hopefully *next* week will bring Springtime weather...
