  • I'm Back

    Went away for awhile. I had a short term pregnancy and now I have an 10 pounds extra on top of the previous 15 I was trying to lose. I feel like I'm wearing a fat suit and just need to get it off!

    I joined a gym and have been diligent but I've gained weight since I've joined! Go figure! So I thought I would nip this prob in the bud by starting the Atkins way again.

    The prob. is I need to gain ideas on how to prepare meals in less time and cost effectively. Atkins did work before but it took a lot of prep time. Now, that i don't have a lot of time I'm finding it hard to prepare foods not to mention that the cost of the foods for this diet is quite pricey.

    Anyways enough of my rambling.. I'm starting the forum again for MOTIVATION! MOTIVATION! MOTIVATION!!!!

    Because I am in desperate need of it right now. I'm simply sick and tired of not taking care of myself and need people who understand my agony to support me with this uphill battle.

    Come on lets just do this once and for all!

    My MINI Goal










    My Goal is to weigh 125 lbs! 20 lbs to Go
    Don't put off for tomorrow what you can do today.
    SW-January 9/08-156lbs
    Started Induction-January 28/08 @ 150lbs ***Ended Induction @ 147lbs. A 3lb lost!

    Welcome to the board.. I am always looking for crock pot meals cause those are the easiest and quickest for me.. There are tons of recipes to go through.. you will have to make a food plan for a week ahead..But I think once you have a plan it will go easier for you

      Hiya FTG , welcome. I like your fighting attitude. I have not patience for cooking so its all about fast. pounding chicken breasts flat so they cook faster hehe cooking ground beef up so can use it in different things during the week. chopping up a couple of onions and some peppers and putting them in baggies so can just toss them in something, the little things like that help a lot. cooking a lb of bacon at a time and bagging it up. etc etc that way I don't have to plan meals but have something rdy that I can throw together easy.

        I love chicken and there are so many things you can do with it. I make Shake'nBake, then remove the skin which removes most of the coating but leaves a little of the flavor, or I grind some up (cooked, of course) in the Oscar with some dill pickles or relish and mayo. I put it in salads and chop some in omelets, or crockpot it with tomatoes, peppers and onions. The list goes on.... I'ts inexpensive and versatile. And the same goes for tuna fish.
