    Re: Monday Morning Check In

I'm on depo, and haven't even gotten a period for over 3 yrs, and now I am everyday. I don't know what to think of it, other than hating it!

Checking in- Day 6. I made it through the weekend and my TOM came early too. Staying cheat free and on plan I'm being accountable and I'm not weighing myself until the end. Even though I was a huge ***** last week at work and I could tell I was pms'ing. ugh I will be better this week though

        Re: Monday Morning Check In

Hope all are doing well today. Just have a few minutes to check in. Read through a few posts and everyone seems to be dealing with a few issues of their own. Hope all work them out the best they can.

Jess, I'll tell you that you were on my mind this week-end. I had to rush a very sick cat to the vet yesterday, and it looks like I may lose her. I stopped after and so wanted to get something like candy, or donuts, or chips, feeling like what the heck I might as well. Falling into my old trap of stuffing my feelings, and then I thought of you and how you stayed on track with your mother's illness. I figured if you could do it with your Mother so sick, I can do this over my cat (although I love her dearly.) So, I got a bottle of water instead and went home. So, because of you Jess, I stayed on track.

          Morning All --

12th day of induction and not willing to stop, even though I have the original five off and no more.

As I put my winter clothes away today, I thought, "by the time I unpack these next year, none of them will fit."

Well, I've said that many times in my life, but this time I want it to be so.

Yesterday I spent the evening with six wonderful friends, who were all eating two kinds of homemade cake, which I served to them.

What worked for me was to tell myself, at the first sign of wanting to taste them, just go off for a little "break,"

          "It's just not worth it."

          Know what it's not worth?

          It's not worth sciatica.
          It's not worth sleep apnea.
          It's not worth GERD.
It's not worth size 22 pants.
It's not worth feet that hurt in the morning when I put them on the floor.
It's not worth years off my life.

CAKE is just not worth it.

          But I am.

          Much love, love much,

Here I am checking in late, though. Getting my veggis eaten, that's my goal for today.

              Have a great day, everyone

                Oh, that was great!

We should start a thread and let everyone give their own personal lists of why "Cake is just not worth it." Wouldn't that be interesting to see all that people are going to avoid, control, or be done with because of this WOE.

                        Re: Monday Morning Check In

I am checking in very late... I felt like total crap this morning. I was weak and tired and nauseous. I think I am not eating enough. I have been on Atkins for four weeks and I am just not hungry most of the time anymore. This morning I was actually gagging a little while trying to eat some string cheese for breakfast. Has anyone else had this problem?

I think I need to focus this week on making sure I am getting enough calories. The last thing I want to do is go into starvation mode and retain extra pounds...

I am sitting down to eat my dinner of Cheddarwurst and Sauerkraut right now! But I am still not hungry...

                          Re: Monday Morning Check In

annRN I have felt that way on occasion as well, weak and very tired and grossed out by food. It got better once I started making things taste better with spices and cream and cheese etc. I still have ascent weakness, just walking up the stairs my legs are total jello. I am eating all my veggies and meeting my carb limit now but that still happens. The nauseous feeling went away once I upped my carbs - I was getting only about 13 a day, by the end of Induction I was close to 20 finally and now on Rung 1 I am making sure I hit 24/25 and it's better.

I'm wondering how much longer this general lack of energy and the jelly legs will last?
