    Good Morning STACer's,

    Scooter here, how's it goin'. Jess and I are playing tag this week. She asked if I could start the roll call if nobody else had, so here I am. Best wishes to you Jess (her mother is back in the hospital) our hearts and thoughts are with you.

    Last night I played out. Dark rainy night, but I had an evening of sunshine. I had a young couple who is getting married in August. I could tell that they were enjoying the evening, and after my first break they asked me to join them. What a great night it was. Sharing stories, playing music, and looks like the old Scoot is going to play at their wedding reception in August. Pretty cool.

    They even offered to buy me dinner! I never eat when I play out, not because of finding anything 'Atkins friendly' I just don't like that 'weighty' feeling when I play. But our subject turned to oddly enough, Atkins, and low carb. They both had relatives who had lost a lot of weight eating low carb, the blushing bride said she needed to lose 10 pounds (uh..............no.........haha) and I told them about this board and they said they would share it with their family members.

    Pretty cool. I just wanted to share with you guys this morning.

    Good Morning Everyone.. Scooter and DI posted a Roll Call at the exact same time Its a cloudy kind of morning here..but its suppose to be nicer in temperatures today then yesterday.. Yesterday it reached 90 today its suppose to be in the 70s. I woke up at 4 am to go to the bathroom and I couldn't go back to sleep... Its so funny how much better I feel in the mornings.

    Yesterday was a hard day.. I wanted chocolate.. I just wanted that smooth creamy feel. I tried Cream Cheese and that didn't work.. But I made it through the day

    Another thing.. since I have cut out the sugar and bad carbs.. I can't believe that I am hungry at 7 in the morning.. That use to never happen.

    My daughter has a friend coming over today... We are taking the friend out to lunch..He got his driver's license yesterday. We shall go right up the road to a local restaurant. I already know what I am having.. They have the best Grilled Chicken Salad.. Its HUGE.

    Then for dinner the kids will eat a Frozen Pizza..and I will have Steak and some kind of veggie...

      Good morning, guys! It is sunny and much cooler here, too. Beautiful morning! Yesterday was crazy here at school so I didn't get to walk during my lunch break. (Didn't have a lunch break, actually.) So I am really hoping today to be able to take my walk.

      I'm a little concerned about my calorie intake. It has been very low for me for the last three or four days - below 1600. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. I'm worried that my body will begin retaining. Will just keep an eye on it. Just haven't been that hungry. Also, yesterday evening, my vision blurred some. I took my sugar and it was 83 which is pretty low for me. (I start feeling yucky when it drops below 100.) So now I'm wondering if I'm not getting enough to eat. Anyone have similar problems?

        Good Morning Everyone, just checking in today!!! Everything is going ok with me, a little frustrated with the scale, still wont budge but I will be alright. Im loving this veggie challenge though, it has opened my eyes up big time in my consumption of veggies. As I do my fitday i put my veggies in there first and then add the rest, so instead of working around everything else and try to see what veggies i can fit in, now its the other way around. Well I guess i need to get my day started, it is suppose to rain today, but has not started yet, so i think me and hubby are going to venture on to do some hiking, would like to try for 6 miles again, but not sure if the weather will hold out for us.

          Good morning!
          I spent a long time last night playing on fitday trying to get my veggie carbs in for today. It's HARD! . What a thing to complain about hey? ha ha.
          Good thing I love veggies.

            I don't know if you're dealing with diabetes because you're "taking your sugar" so I can't answer that. (Afterthought: if you are, are you being monitored for changes in readings that may require changes in meds?)

            However, if I don't get enough calories in (1750+) I feel weak and sluggish and all kinds of other symptoms. Early on, when the weight was coming off pretty easily, it wouldn't when I didn't eat enough. Once I did again, it did. So eat even though you're not hungry. A can of tuna with some celery and mayo could kick you up there nicely.

              morning, me and hubby not feeling great today. The kids probably brought a bug into the house. Just means the day will be a little slower, maybe its allergies the weather is overcast that does not help much. Going to pack my lunch and head out. Have a GREAT BIG HUGE Thursday.

                That's how I did it. First, I figured out the higher net carb veggies with different portion sizes for the "other vegetables" to get that one cup in first. Then I figured the "salad vegetables" to fill in the numbers I needed, not caring if I got at least 2 cups worth. The trick was figuring in veggies I had and use them up before they went bad. Unfortunately, the cauliflower didn't make the cut... THEN it was the meats, eggs, etc...

                This was a great challenge! I learned so much from it!!

                  Good Morning Everyone!
                  Scooter thats awesome about that couple you met and playing at their wedding!
                  It's nice here today and sunny, it was rainy and crappy yesterday. I think its supposed to be like 67 and sunny here today but tomorrow the rain rolls in for most of the day, ICK!

                  Anyhoo, I am beginning Day one of Induction again today. I fell off the wagon, though I have only gained a lb back, I need to go get cracking on my journal and document in fitday.
                  I also need to hit the grocery store at lunch and get a salad and some other low carb foods so I don't hit the candy machine at work because I am famished.
                  I had bacon all made and in the fridge to grab and go and low and behold I go to grab a peice this morning on my way out and once again DH ate it all!!!!!
                  I could KILL him! I try and do this stuff for myself so I can sty on track and then BAM, I am derailed somehow. So, I grabbed 2 hardboiled eggs (at least he didn't eat all of those), and left. BUT I need that fat in the morning to keep me feeling full and satisfied! I am going to kill him I swear. GRRR!!!

                            Lisa, if you are taking meds for diabetes you probably need to have your doctor adjust them. Your blood sugar levels are lowering due to Atkins and then the meds are lowering them even more...and you're ending up with too low of blood sugar.

                            This is a GREAT thing, you just need to have the doc adjust everything. YAY.

                            Okay, I'm here, I'm IN. Back up a pound from yesterday....grrr. BUT I changed up my weight lifting routine last night, so I'm not too surprised.
