Good Sunday MOrning Stacers!!!! Just starting this thread for everyone. Hope everyone day today is a good one. Me myself, about to get the rugrats up to get ready for church and then when we get home today going for a walk. Sunday is my rest day but here lately i have been wanting that excercise lol, who would have ever thought. I have made some of my own challenges and one is to not eat sausage daily, i always had sausage for bfast, so i said 3x a week, well i only had it twice this last week, and to also cut back on cheese, only have that once daily, so if i put it in my eggs then thats it for the day, and finally the scale has moved, now my official weigh in day is not until tomorrow but its still nice to see the scale moving. The last time I was on atkins i cut those two items out completely and really started losing, so instead of cutting them out completely im just going to cut way back on them. Well I guess I need to get going and i hope you all have a blessed Sunday!!!

Re: Sunday Check In
No! No! Tell me it's not true! I've been looking for a new meat grinder and sausage attachments. Don't tell me it's bad! I have all kinds of ideas for sausages I want to make. Dh loves wings, so I thought I'd make buffalo chicken sausage. LOL!Originally posted by lisadallasrI have made some of my own challenges and one is to not eat sausage daily
Good morning! We're off to church in a little while too. Yesterday I bought some new walking shoes, so I'm really looking forward to trying those out later today. It's supposed to be a beautiful day today. The words from my son's book keep going through my mind this morning.
We're going on a bear hunt.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.
Not sure that it relates to anything, but maybe it does. Maybe that it's going to be a beautiful day and I'm up to the challenge.

(ugh... eye just strained so upping the font size...)
So, good morning, everyone! I've got a full day of work outside to do; finish loading the camper, yardwork, lots of little odd jobs to take care of or clean up. So the left leg and knee will be put through the paces again. In general, I'm tired from yesterday but am totally tickled at how well the leg and knee feel this morning. I can say there is progress and am thankful for the answer to desperate prayers over this.
Weather here seems nice but there may be a chance of rain later? Not sure. Hoping to grill chicken for supper; that just sounds too good right now. Last day for the Veggie Challenge and I didn't write down what the meat for supper was going to be... such a nob!
Stomach is growling so time to make breakfast and dig into the day! Have a great one, everyone!~ Terry ~Eat to Live, Not Live to Eat

Re: Sunday Check In
Actually I think homemade sausage would be fine, just don't forget the carb counts for the seasonings. Store bought usually has hidden sugars even if that label says it's zero carbs, if you do the hidden carb check thing, you can find them.Originally posted by SheepieNo! No! Tell me it's not true! I made Scooter's recipe (thanks Scooter!) yesterday and it was delish.

Re: Sunday Check In
Good morning, Everyone! Today is my weigh in day. I am down 1.8 pounds for the week, 16.2 pounds total. I slacked off a little with my exercise. I only got 4 days of Pilates in and 4 days on the elliptical. I will have to do better with that next week. I want to get in 5 days a week, at least, for both.
On a positive note I had a nice compliment from my boyfriend yesterday. I told him that I had lost 16 pounds and he said, "I can tell! I can see it, but I can also feel it when I hug you." YAY! Also, last night I tried on several size 10 suits that I have hanging in my closet. They all fit (though one was slightly tighter than I would feel comfortable wearing in public). Some of these suits still have tags on them, so I am very excited to finally wear them. I bought them about 2-1/2 years ago, around the time when I started my current job. YAY, again!
Skinnymom -- I love and adore amusement parks. I will be going to Cedar Point in Ohio in June on my way back home from my brother's wedding. My boyfriend and I have gone every year for the last nine years! New coaster this year, too! Woo hoo!
Sounds like everyone has a busy Sunday. I just have some housekeeping and exercise at home. Then I have a tiny bit of shopping to do (what the heck am I going to eat today?) and I have free movie passes, so I think I am going to hit a movie solo. My SO is working all day. He always gets one of those huge sodas and a large popcorn (he is beautiful and has never, ever had a weight issue), so maybe it is better to go it alone in this instance. Actually, we went to a movie yesterday (more free passes) and I just drank a water, so not a really big deal about the pop and popcorn.
Happy Sunday!

Re: Sunday Check In
Morning to all. I haven't been checking in much lately, but have been lurking. Yesterday I did good, some gardening, etc to start the day, then we went to Dallas for my son's baseball game, they are in the playoffs, and won 22-9. So, it was a good day on many fronts. I've been lazy so far this morning, but I deserve it. Now I've got to get moving and get to the store and get some more good food in the house - always a challenge with very active, athletic 16 year old twins to keep fed. It is so much easier to stay on track since my husband is also following this WOE, but progress has been slow. I am still working on getting my exercise in, and that is my committment to myself for this week. Since both baseball and softball are now in playoffs, there is only one game this week (usually I am at the ballfields 3-4 evenings a week, and that, after working 8 hours, leaves little time for exercise. I am going to come home and walk in the evenings now.
We live in the country and it is just beautiful here, so I will really enjoy that! Also, I got the Slow Burn book, and am going to add some weighlifting to my routine also. We have full weighlifting setup for my son out in the shop, so I intend to use it myself also.
Boy, am i rambling, or just getting myself fired up for the week?
Hope everyone has a great Sunday, I intend to!Jennifer

Re: Sunday Check In
if you are lucky you wont't get the flu. this go-round i had a massive headache for 2 days. im pretty sure that was because of my addiction to coffee though. also about 3 days in i woke up, cooked breakfast, took my first bite and was very nausiated. i ate anyway, it didnt feel good but i made it. i ate lunch and was fine, and havent felt sick since.

Re: Sunday Check In
I never had the induction flu either. Hopefully you will sail right through induction. This time around my first week was kind of rough... Lots of cravings. At the beginning of my second week, though, that all went away and I really haven't had cravings since!Ann
