    I started Atkins for the first time on January 1, 2004, and lost 70 pounds (22 inches in my waist) by the end of July, 2004. I went from 270 pounds to 200. I don't even remember why I really quit the diet, except I was working a lot and was horrible at figuring out quick snacks I could eat while working a 16 hour shift.

    Fast forward three years, and one baby later, and I am back up to 272 pounds. My energy level has dropped significantly and I know very well that when my baby starts crawling, I'll want to have the energy to chase after her. I haven't started the diet yet, because I am currently working out a menu with my husband, who is starting with me...but we are planning on starting Saturday. My long term goal is to get down to 175 pounds (I'm 5'10" on a large frame), but I'm starting with short term goals of 15 pounds a time. First goal is 255, and I will have rewards planned out for every step of the way.

    I'm sure there will be pictures to come, but that's it for now...

      Welcome to the two of you! Since you lost 70 pounds the first time around you probably know what you have to do, but if you have any questions give a shout. There is always someone around to help! Good luck on your weightloss journey!

        Welcome.... You are doing the BEST thing by planning ahead.. I really feel that is the success to this woe.. Having stuff that you know you can fix makes you feel in control. That is awesome that hubby is going to do this with you!
