    Happy Saturday everyone!!! I know its not as busy around here on the weekends as it is during the week, but just wanted to start a check in thread to see how everyone is doing this weekend and what plans does everyone have. Today, my mil is suppose to come over, and so are my sister and her fiance and baby all to spend the night, because tomorrow we are getting baptized at church and we wanted some of our loved ones there to share the moment with. If it does not rain, im going to see if mil wants to go walking when she gets here, since my husband got called in today which is a good thing, trying to save for vacation lol, it will just be us girls here so a good walk will do us good. Well i made the 6wk challenge with no slug days as they call it, and ready for the next one!!! Well i hope you all have a blessed weekend and i will catch up with you all later!!!!

    Happy Saturday everyone! Thanks Lisa for starting the thread.. Have fun on spending the time with your family.

    I have nothing planned for today but to work on some business stuff (hubby is self-employed) Since I have more energy the house is staying cleaner so I don't have a lot to around here

    Kids are going to the movies with some friends.. although we went yesterday and saw Spiderman 3. It was good..

    Scales are down again for me I am quite happy. I can't wait for sometime to go by so I can measure myself again...

      Good morning. Not much going on here. Getting a new dishwasher installed today...Yea! My weight has been up a couple pounds and I haven't been as good about walking as I'd like, so I need to work on that this weekend. Today's the Derby, so I need to pick some mint. Looks like a nice weekend. Happy Baptism Lisa!

        Good morning everyone

        Beautiful day here! Probably going to sit in the yard with some music and binoculars and watch the birds at the feeders. Love those guys!

        Would really llike to do some planting, but I have a wedding tomorrow and don't want to ruin my nails...lol.

          i am really bummed. i had buffalo wings, an apple, and half of a snickers bar.

            That made me giggle, thinking of both our struggles with that darn measuring tape. I keep putting it off because I don't want to fight with that stupid tape. LOL! Letting clothes show me the loss for now.

            Congrats on the scale going down! It's still darn nice to see, isn't it?!

              Oh, sweetie. Let it go for now and just focus on the tests. Trying to do both is incredibly hard. (So been there, done that!)

              Once the tests are done, you can get in line with all this after the pressure is off and develop some better habits and strategies for later.

                Eat those eggs, folks!!

                I've told how I've been eating as many as four eggs a day for a very long time, had my cholesteral done, and the HDL and LDL were fine. (Triglycerides were a bit high but hey, I'm fat! So no surprise there.) ANYway, the doctor and dietician wants me on a low-fat diet, which means, by nature, a high-carb diet, and eat only three or four eggs a week. I'm totally ignoring their instructions and still get at least two eggs in daily. For some reason, I haven't had hardboiled eggs ready the way I usually do so that's on my list of things to do today.

                    Actually the last time I was measuring I was laughing cause I was fighting with the tape measure and thought of you..as it kept slipping down my hips..lol

                      I am on a hardboiled egg kicked right now.. I love them every morning...with some butter and pepper on them..

                          Well I won't be the only one in the confessional I see. Last night, for the first time in almost a MONTH since starting, I cheated. UGH. And it was dumb ole pizza that got me, I probably wouldn't even feel guilty if it was the Mexican I've been craving. BUT about an hour after eating it I was so sick and my tummy is still upset. I immediately got back on track this morning and last night I didn't do further damage by eating any real dessert like I wanted to.

                          Not sure if I will weigh in tomorrow as usual or not.....probably will though, can't resist lol!

                            Good saturday morning all! I have my stepson this weekend, so we'll be doing alot with him, which is good, he keeps me on my feet (he's 16 months old). Planning on going to the zoo for the first time this season, so that oughta get me a couple miles of walking in today! It's absolutley beautiful outside, and our Lilac bush is in full bloom right outside our window, so the house smells fabulous! I love spring.
                            I also broke down and weighed myself this morning and I'm down another pound for a total of eleven so far! Go me! I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

                              Last night, I had canned chicken noodle soup (minus the noodles) but ate the carrots. Then with things weighing on my mind and fighting the temptation for that darn new Dairy Queen dessert, I made a mock danish. However, because I'm fighting with symptoms from Splenda, I used a dab of honey for the sweetener. I simply don't know what else to use for a sweetener as every other sugar substitute gives me grief. I'd order the SF syrups people use here on different recipes but don't know what the ingredients in them are.

                              Anyway, I'm praying that a tiny bit of honey once in a blue moon won't hurt me too much. It nailed that craving for Dairy Queen. I'll never be able to claim "cheat-free" because of the sugar-substitute issue and may have to resort to honey on occasion.
