    Last night I made portobella mushrooms stuffed with Scooter Sausage and chopped red peppers. Not bad, but I should have made the sausage ahead of time to let the flavors mingle longer. Leftovers for lunch~~Yea! Oh, and my rings are not falling off, but I was able to take them off (not the wedding band!) to mix the sausage which was very cool!

        Good Morning Everyone!!! Just popping in to check in. I have decided to go on up to 30 net carbs with extra veggies, really just to make sure im getting all my nutrients in. Was a little worried yesterday, about an hour and a half after working out i felt off a little was worried about potassium and electrolytes from all the water and excercising, so just to be safe going to add more veggies in, dont think it will hurt none, not really ready to go up the ladder though yet, will just be happy to eat more veggies. Other than that, im going to take an easy day at the gym today, just do the bike for a couple of miles, and not much else on the cardio end, i do cardio everyday and just need a break today, i do im going to the zoo tomorrow with daughter on field trip so will be walking there and then get home and we are venturing on our family hiking that we do at least once a week, so plenty of cardio tomorrow, i think i will go on and do upper body today, they were really sore yesterday after mondays workout, but they feel fine today, so it will be an easy day today as far as working out, but at least im going to get some in right lol!!!

          Good morning!
          Sandi I think your sunny weather has travelled all the way up to me and my yucky weather has drifted down your way....sorry about that, but am I ever loving this weather!!
          I've been out 3 mornings in a row with my dog, early with the birds, and gone on to have happy, productive days. Cannot believe what sunny skies do to me! ha ha
          You ladies really have to get over your scale obsession~~it's so bad for your state of mind. I hope you can, and then you can just relax and enjoy the process.
          Oh, and before I forget, Sandi your new photo says it all....you've accomplished a great new look! Your butt shrunk!
          Have a good day you guys~~and hello to anyone who comes after me.

            Sandy - I feel the same when TOM is coming. I get so tired all I can do is sleep every moment I get, its awful!

            Terry, So proud you haven't weighed yet! Its liberating to tell that scale to take a hike!

            Jess - I agree on the scale, inches before lbs sometimes. My question is, when WILL the scale catch up??? LOL

            Well all, Its a beautiful New England Day here again, gonna be 87 and HOT! YAY finally some summer weather.
            Its hump day and I can't wait til Saturday when I don't have to work, and get to measure for Atkins Attack again.

            I missed yesterdays workout because of car issues so I think I will have to make up for it today with some extra work.

                Morning all. i had some folks at work giving me grief about atkins at lunch yesterday. here is what we all ate, this is funny to me.
                person number 1 baked potato with cheese, bacon, sour cream, coke to drink. butter peanut butter/chocolate mousse dessert
                person number 2 taco salad including the shell, dr. pepper choc. cake dessert
                person number 3 double cheese burger, onion rings, dr. pepper cheese cake dessert.
                me baked chicken, broccoli salad and water.

                they were all in agreement the this WOE was going to give me a heart attack. this is coming from educated people who are working on Ph.D.s in molecular biology. i love people like this. they make me feel intellectually superior.

                  Matt that is hilarious! I would not be able to hold back on drilling them down on all of the heart risk factors in their food choices and shoving it up their (bleep), LOL

                      Lol, listing their foods like that makes it seem extra crazy that they would criticise you! When people say 'That diet will kill you' I say, 'Don't worry I won't come running to you when I have a heart attack' - that's kind of a fun way to un-nerve people.

                          I hate when you have know it alls about this diet, my Aunt is one of them, just last night was telling me how last yr my blood sugar was 100 and that im borderline diabetic well she is diabetic and her doctor told her she needs to go on a lowfat diet, and she is basically telling me the same thing, and i told her i dont care what her doctor told her, lets compare numbers when we get blood work done. I think to many people think this is a all you can eat steak and bacon, with eggs diet but it is so much more than that and of course i would think eating just meat and eggs after a while might be unhealthy but come on atkins is about eating your veggies and plenty of them.

                            one comment i got is how could i possibly think i diet where i can eat bacon for every meal could be good for me. i dont know about yall but i really dont care for meat all that much. a great steak is indeed a great steak but i eat one of those every few months. in fact most of my diet comes from veggies. i do eat some meat every day for protein.
                            i also forgot to mention the last person, cause i couldnt remember right off hand, she had chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy.

                              I'm curious. If you said you were on Weight Watchers, what would they think of your meals then? Because if you look carefully, WW is slowing swinging back towards low-carb the way they used to be many years ago.

                              Hey, that could be interesting! Don't change your way of eating but tell them, ok, they convinced you, you've switched to WW. I'd bet my bottom dollar the biases will really show themselves!

                                You should have told them they should do some research and get the facts straight before "assuming" what the diet consists of
                                Like, um, when you read the book, come talk to me and I would be happy to debate with you, LOL

                                Hey, just wait til they see you and you share your #'s with them once you hit goal, and doesn't 43 lb loss speak for itself? You should get your #'s checked if you haven't at this 1/2 way point and bring them in to these people to prove them wrong. That will shut them up! ha ha
