  • It almost happened again..

In the past when I was on this WOE I had a had time swallowing my food, I would literally gag and throw up (TMI, sorry!)

It almost happened again tonight at dinner. I made some 'fried' chicken and some veggies and after a few bites it almost came up on me. Today I have been feeling the induction flu...I'm tired, cranky, and just feel crappy. I'm sure that is why it happened, but I just hope and pray that it doesn't happen again. I stopped eating and will try to eat some more later...maybe I will just have to eat little bits here and there to keep me from gettin sick like that, I don't know but I really am going to stick to it this time, I will get these 14 days behind me!!!

10 more days to go until I have completed a clean induction..any tips to help me get my food down easy if this happens again?

For a while after Atkins I couldn't eat chicken, ground beef, eggs, salad for the same reason...I don't know why I have this problem...I absolutely HATE that I get this way.

Non atkins food I can eat okay...never had a problem.

Induction flu passes. Stick with the program and it will pass sooner. Don't eat junk or non-legal foods because then you're just prolonging your symptoms. The induction flu happens because our bodies are using up the last of our glucose stores and switching to fat-burning. So if you keep eating carbs, the longer this process takes, or the more often it happens.

If these foods make you feel nauseous, by all means eat something else on the acceptable foods list. There are 54 veggies, countless protein sources, and loads of fat sources that are all acceptable to you.
