  • Who's Starting tomorrow!

    Let's do this togeather, I have lsot 30lbs on atkins 3 years ago, I am up to 156, Imy goal is 120. I am in nursing school and it is pretty bad when the scrubs start to get tight! I need all the support I can get. This seems the place to get it! Breakfast tomorrow is 2 hard boiled eggs, and a salad for lunch! Help me do this, I hate the way I look and feel! Join me!!!!

    Welcome to the board Leah.. You can have more then 2 eggs for breakfast...don't be afraid to eat.. Make sure you have some protein with that Salad for lunch also

      Hi, Leah. I am an nurse. School can be pretty stressful and it is easy to make bad choices. Make sure you plan ahead for your meals! We are about the same weight -- I am 157.6 as of this morning. Good luck with your start tomorrow. This time around the first week was a little tough for me -- I had strong cravings for sweets and had to power through. After the first week it got easy, though, and I am so glad I stuck with it!

        Thank you for the promising words! I am going to eat my lunch soon, I am at work so a salad with some chicken or something.. Will see! I am very tired today, and am craving saltines! Ughhhh I won't do it, I have drank a ton of water and will continue!

            Fatigue is normal, headaches are normal as you detox....gotta gut it out for a few more days and then you will be in ketosis, your body will burn stored fat, your appetite will diminish and cravings will subside...sounds goood to me...I am day 2 back on induction for a short will, getting back into ketosis! I love that place in the whole scheme of things.

              Hello there~~watch out for day 4~~it's usually the worst. But battle through it, don't give in. Remember why you feel yucky...you're detoxing. That's good, you want to do that!

              Just in case you're looking for breakfast ideas, lately I have been having this:

              2 eggs whipped up
              1/3 cup Tex Mex shredded cheese
              1 strip of green pepper, chopped up
              2 small sausages, chopped up.

              I microwave the sausage for a minute, then put everything else in the bowl and microwave 1 minute 40-ish. Sometimes I add a spoon of salsa, sometimes not. It's good and satisfying and holds me for a few hours. That and lots of water!

                  Well, I missed the first day, but I am totally committing to this. I will continue to NOT CHEAT! Hey Leah, welcome back! I also lost about 30lbs 4 years back, but a jealous boyfriend later...gained it back! Now I am doing this for me. Had a not so good day today...craving for sunflower seeds and I gave in :-( ...tomorrow will be better!

                      Hey all..

                      I too am starting again after loosing 30 pounds last April and through the holidays and all here it is summer again and I can't fit into anything comfortably. I gave up all my BIG clothes. This WOE DOES WORK--we all know that-RIGHT?!
                      Today is Tuesday May 29 and I am starting for the 3rd time.

                      Believe me at 49 is gets harder and harder to loose---so remember that you young ones!

                      Lets do this together! Cause I know I'll need you all for my support!
