    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...

It's been a REALLY long time since I posted. I've had great success with this WOE since Sept. 06. I've lost 50 lbs and just had a dr's visit. My blood pressure was great and my cholesterol went from 209 to 185.

But this past week my husband and I have gone carb crazy. Like little kids. All kinds of bread and sweets. And my exercise has become non-existent. I feel SUPER icky right now.

I really need some encouragement to start over.

    Thanks!

Tomorrow is a new day. Start again. Just drink lots of water to wash all the carbs out of your system and then go on again. Taking a break once in a while won't make a big difference in the long run, you just tag on another day or so to your diet.

Get back on, girl! It was a setback, not a fallbackwards. Each of us has battled the yucky carb demon! This weekend was a lost battle, but you are still winning the war on fat! You're half way to goal! Congrats!

Eg! Hey you, remember me?! It's good to see you back here again!

You've been incredibly successful so far--50 pounds is an AMAZING accomplishment! You know you can do it, the key is to just hop up on the wagon again. Sure the first couple of days will be tough, but think about how good you feel on Atkins, how much healthier your body is becoming, and keep your eye on the prize.

Give yourself a good shaking and ask if you want to completely UNDO all your hard work!! Because that's what will happen if you allow the gorge to continue LOL Think of all that hard work you've done....

                    Re: Feeling REALLY crappy

Hmmmm, let's see now. You dropped 50 lbs., blood pressure great, cholesterol down to 185, and you feel super icky after a carb binge this past weekend.
Sounds to me like you have stated some pretty compelling reasons to get back up, dust yourself off, throw out any carb leftovers, and eat how you need to.
And if you're still having problems, how about treating yourself to a really nice meal to start off. Let's see, a nice crisp garden salad to start, followed by a nice rib-steak with some melted blue cheese on it and steamed cauliflower.
                    Are you tempted yet?

Take a look at a photo of yourself 50lbs heavier and I bet you hardly recognise yourself. You know that you can reach goal and loose the next 50lbs. Don't let 1 weekend ruin all your hard work. Water, water and then some more water and you'll be fine!

                        Re: Feeling REALLY crappy

I know exactly how you feel - depressed, frustrated, guilty and sick, but I know you're strong enough to put it behind you and get back on track with all your good efforts. Each day you leave it will make it harder to get back on track so just throw out all of the carby things (doesn't matter if you waste any, don't be tempted to eat it all on this basis!) and get in the good stuff you've been enjoying so much.

Very best of luck - hope this slump doesn't last too long
