  • Had a big big cheat

Well, I had been super good since beginning Atkins...but tonight, I had sushi...not a bite of sushi...12 excruciatingly good bites of sushi...and now I am feeling guilty. I am afraid to touch the ketostix or to get on the scale. I guess the best thing to do is to get back on induction until I get back on ketosis...and pray that this is just a slip up...

progress, not perfection...this too shall pass. i love sushi...i'm sure this is a passing thing for you. just keep in mind that you have been successful and will continue to be successful. you are strong and commited and know that this way of eating is a way for you to take care of and nurture your self...you deserve it and you are worth it...and eating sushi is not the end of the road...i read this the other day "a bend in the road is not the end of the road...unless you choose to not make the turn." you have acknowledged your slip, your consequences, and are making the choice to get back on track. that is all. good for you!

I love that phrase...'a bend is not the end unless you choose not to make the turn'. We are all learning the triggers we must watch out for and make positive solutions that will help us next time we encounter our triggers. Drink lots of water, make a plan for upcoming temptations and keep going!
