  • Saturday morning roll call

    I remember when this roll call was started by my good friend, who was seeking to see us stir ourselves up and get a bit more committed. It was in the fall. Then some very exciting things happened to this gal and then a very traumatic thing happened to her...Presently she is trying to sort things out. She doesn't visit actively at this time, and is trying to "get back"...

    Holding on, getting back, moving forward. These are all things we struggle with, each and every one of us, is coming here AGAIN. That's the spirit behind STAC, coming AROUND again. We are the ones who keep trying.

    Today is a new day, it's either going to be an extension of yesterday's success and routines and habits or the beginning of new ones....Leave the emotions ASIDE, get up and get it done! Drink your water, take your suppliments and for goodness sake, EXERCISE and EAT LOW CARB....
    At some POINT, close your eyes and ask yourself do you feel better. Do you feel good! Are you thriving with energy or happiness at your success?
    Are you struggling, did the scales not do the right things by you? What can you do today to make it a great day??? Just do it!

    Every single one of us is on a journey that is an extension of yesterday's routines, habits and choices....each of us is the same in our desire to eat right and feel good again...We are all at different points along this journey, but let's just do it for today! Embrace the journey, embrace the good vibes of energy, activity and eating that doesn't leave you in fatigueland!

    wow...that is something for my refrigerator wall. that was so motivating! it just made my morning!

        thank you jess! these are wonderful words that i am going to print off and carry with me, lest i forget my self in the midst of my craziness. i've been called in to work and just wanted to log on and check in before i go. i almost decided to go without breakfast and just grab something at work...which can be tricky on induction seeing as how some mornings all that's available is toast and peanut butter! so, while i was in the shower i thought how crazy it was to put myself in that position after i've been doing so well and am cheat free on induction this time round. so i am eating breakfast and reading your kick *** motivational words...funny how things happen...

          Hey all!

          I'm focusing on making today an excellent day. I'm going to do a long bike ride (15 miles) at the gym, come home and do some pilates ab work, and perhaps go for a short run in the nice sunshiney weather if my knee cooperates. Yesterday I ran a mile straight, the first time I've been able to run in 2 weeks, and it felt great. I just want to make sure I take it easy now...no 8 milers for me for a LONG time!

            Morning everyone. Hope your friend gets back too Jess. Had my first cheat last night. Could'nt resist the Bloomin Onion at dinner out. I'm sure the onion was ok, but not the coating, and maybe not the dip either. Oh well, flying straighter today. Hope everyone has a great Saturday.

              Good Morning Jess, All,

              Jess I hope your friend finds her way through whatever she is going through right now. Thank you for stepping in and doing the roll call. I am finding that it is keeping me "honest" and helping to motivate me to check in every day. I have gotten some great information on the board.

              This is my third day on induction and I am feeling great. I have done my 30 minute walk this morning and I am looking forward to a beautiful day here in sunny Southern Cal!.

                    Good Evening everyone.. I am home... Boy you wouldn't believe the temptations I had to resist... Brittany and I are working in a campground kitchen part time this summer.. Oh my there was COCONUT Cream Pie (homemade and it has 7 cups of sugar!)... Yeast Rolls.. Carrot Cake...all sorts of goodies and today it was Cheescake.. I resisted them..but I am going to tell you it wasn't easy.. I had Chicken,Salad,Greenbeans and broccoli last night.. Eggs, Bacon and Sausage this morning and More Chicken and a Salad for lunch..

                    So I have another busy day tomorrow.. I sure hope I am rewarded with a whooshie in the morning that would make it worth fighting...lol

                          Wow, Julie, you are the exercise queen!

                          Sandy, I don't know if I could work in a kitchen without "testing" the recipes. Way to stay strong!

                          Two weeks from today is my brother's wedding and I have made a commitment to exercise everyday until we leave. I am doing one hour of Pilates in the morning and one hour on the elliptical at night. Last night I didn't get the elliptical done, though. It is the first night I have missed in 12 days. I am on call for work and had to run out to see a client. By the time I got back I was way too exhausted to get on. Oh well. I still got my Pilates in for the day...

                          The exciting news for me today was that I wore shorts to the birthday party of my boyfriend's nephew. I think this is the first time I have worn anything shorter than capris in about three years (maybe more)! The shorts were size 10, though I did wear a pair of size 8 jeans to work on Friday! The size 8's were pretty darn exciting for me. That's smaller than I have been at this current job! People at work are finally starting to notice and comment on my weight loss, which is very motivational, of course.

                          I weigh in tomorrow, officially, and know that the scale has finally moved again this week, so I am very excited! I increased the amount I was eating, which was difficult since I am almost never hungry anymore, but it has definitely helped to jump start my weight loss again.

                            I am very late, it is almost Sunday being eleven forty pm, but it was day 15 cheat free for me, so I am very happy with that !!! I am thrilled to be into my third week and look forward to that three week mark !!!
