  • help!

    okay so i know i bring so much drama to this board lol..but i am really nervous...i went over my splenda count today (bad day and i was bad with it) and went over my carbs by like 5 or 6 carbs!!!!!! what do i do to make up for it cause it is only my 8th day!!!!!! help!

    Start date: May 28th
    SW: 175 GW: 140 CHeight: 5'7 CHips: 42 CThighs: 25
    June 11th: goal =169 MET GOAL, JUNE 3RD (16
    June 25th: goal=165 MET GOAL JUNE 10TH!!
    July 2nd: goal=160
    July 16th: goal=155
    July 30th: goal=150
    August 13th: goal= 145 and 15 inches lost
    August 30th: PT test/Weigh in for the Naval Academy!!!
    Inches lost since May 28th: 2.5 Thighs, 1 hips, 2 waist

    You can't go back and change what's happened, just go forward and try to do better. Just try to make sure you're getting most of your carbs from your vegetables. Also, make sure you're drinking your water, and remember to get some exercise each day. You've already lost 7 pounds, and you've only been doing Atkins 8 days? I'd say you're doing very good!

      First off, Alaska. You are doing great! The only thing that I can suggest that works for me is that I changed my thoughts.

      There is no good or bad. Reframe it so you think of saying, "next time I would like to do it this way." You can't believe how your mind can help you by just changing.

      Also, if you stay in a good or bad frame, then there is a tendancy to view this like a diet. And, it is a WOL.

      Once I changed my mindframe, I was amazed at how relaxed I was about eating.

      You are doing sooo good, hold on, as time goes by, you create your new habits.

      Drink your water and move on to the next day.

        Relax Alaska...Its all about learning to live this way.. I go over my Splenda level all the time.. 2 cups of coffee...4 Splenda.. But it could be worse..my coffee COULD have those 6 tsps of Sugar that they use to have..

        Try your best to not beat yourself up..Its not going to ruin your whole week..

          Alaska, don't let a couple of Splenda ruin your week where you have already lost SEVEN pounds!! Don't beat yourself up. I understand your panicky feeling, but take a deep breath, relax, and don't eat ANY SPLENDA today. No worries, and it all evens out in the wash. I am just like you, once I get started on splenda I can't stop!! Remember how you told me to throw out that cheesecake I made on Sunday?! I had to or I would have overindulged in it. DONT" WORRY, just drink up and exercise and cut out Splenda for a day or two. You can do it, and you did NOT just wreck the last 8 days of success!!!!
          btw, giggling about how you say you bring 'so much drama' to the board...you are so funny!
