Re: Tues Morning Roll Call
Good morning, everyone. Finally starting to feel better. It's been a rough go and I've had some really bad days fighting with depression over my weakness and the way the year is slipping by on me. An overnight kayak trip down the river may be out of the question for me and that simply bums me out. One day at a time.
The swelling in my neck is starting to go down, my voice is sllllooooowwwly getting more normal again, and I feel like there's some strength in the body today. Still battling with low calcium levels and just don't know what to think of that yet. So sometimes I take 3 grams of calcium to keep the levels in the blood up there.
My stomach is starting to tolerate heavier foods and water again. WOOHOO!! So I'm easing back into the Atkins lifestyle. I might attempt a short bikeride later today as long as there's no wind - I'm afraid my legs are mush again and will be starting all over. (*sigh* What do you do?
) The way I'm figuring, though, the exercise will pump more oxygen into the muscles and they may bounce back quicker - well, in theory, anyway! LOL!
So I'm hoping to start getting stronger again before any additional treatments stops me later on temporarily. I don't know if radioactive iodine is hard on the immune system or not - if anyone knows anything about it, I would really appreciate any insight into it.
Hope everyone is doing well and are totally focus on getting as healthy as possible. These complicated bodies of ours are so precious; good health is an incredible blessing to reach for.
