    Did yukky breath go away on OWL for you guys?

    Hey yall,
    Just wondering what your experiences with that yukky taste you get in your mouth on Induction have been...does that go away with OWL? I find drinking a TON helps with it, and I have to be honest I have a little piece of orbitz gum now and then....

    According to my husband, the honest man that he is, no...mine didn't go away. LOL. For me its a great sign of being in fat burning mode...ketosis. I guess it's okay with me, I'm brushing my teeth and gargaling more often...my dentist will be happy when I see him in July

      Yes...mine was terrible...It just tasted nasty... But one day I noticed it didn't bother me anymore

        My bf hasnt said anything about my breath, but I am chowing down on gum big time...I know, I know...but I dont wanna stink up everyone I talk to! LOL! I can taste it when I am deeper into ketosis...ick...

          yeah, it is the worst feeling! no amount of brushing my teeth takes it away for long...

              It's ketsosis breath, that's what we call it at our house, because it is a by product of being in ketosis. Mine is sweet, so I'm told, but it does make my mouth taste funny. It should go away as you add carbs and find your CCL

                  It's weird cuz I only had the ketosis breath for about 2 weeks then gone after that. I'm currently on my 7th week of Atkins and still losing weight so I'm assuming still on ketosis. My husband is an extreme self-consience guy about hygeine so he would tell me.

                    I guess that's one of the benefits of being single, nobody to complain! My kids have never said anything, and I'm sure my son would have if he'd noticed. I haven't really noticed it, and I know I'm in ketosis. Probably everybody's different. I hope the ketosis breath disappears quickly for you.

                      thanks for your answers. i guess we just deal with it as a side effect to the weight loss. and drink lots of water! i did try that chewing on fresh parsley thing, and i just about lost my lunch doing it.
