  • 3rd times a charm? I let everyone talk me into quitting atkins…I was so close!

    Ok…I was 7 pounds from my goal and I let everyone talk me into quitting atkins. Now I am 9 pounds from my goal, working out 6 days per week, and wondering where to go from here. Below is a sample menu from 3 of my best days in the past week…I went nuts and added in everything at once so I guess I could say it is still atkins, just the last owl stage. What does everyone think? Back to try for a clean 2 week induction? Just stay on this owl? Loose some stuff? Add more fat back in? I am disgusted with myself for giving in. What do you stacer have to say? I have almost talked myself into going back to induction tomorrow.

    Female 30 5'3 - was 190...now 135...goal 120 (maybe 115)...My last 15 pounds LOVES me!


    Mini Goals - stop weighing every day and restart my slim in 6 workout

    Ok I would keep the following:

    Breakfast – 2 scrambled eggs

    Lunch – large salad with cheese, bacon, and a little ranch dressing

    Snack – cheese stick and

    Dinner – Grilled chicken and broccoli

    Snack – sugar free jello and Breakfast - 1 atkins chocolate shake

    Lunch – turkey w/1 slice cheddar cheese 2 pickle slices

    Snack – pumpkin w/1 oz cream cheese, cinnamon, and 1 packet of stevia

    Dinner – Grilled chicken salad w/ranch

    Snack – strawberries and

    Snack – 1 cup cucumbers

    Lunch – large salad with cheese, bacon, and a little ranch dressing

    Dinner – Grilled chicken, broccoli, and another salad

    I just deleted the things that I'd wait on for a few more lbs to add. I was able to add back in low carb bread a couple times a week the first time around and still lose, but I would ditch that for now. And of course the sugary juices, cool whip and stuff like that. Fill back in with Induction type stuff. I would NOT go back to Induction, I am losing faster on OWL!

      ok...maybe I will just start back atkins rung 1 tomorrow...rung 2 starting sunday...then 1 rung per week after that while still working out...sounds sensible plus I will only have to wait a few days for the 1% milk.

        Good to see you back, Kristy!

        I think SkinnyMom has good advice, just stick with it. Who is "everyone" and are they so successful that you need to listen to them? Some people can't seem to stand it when others are having great results. Just relax and remember that Atkins works and you will reach your goal. You're really close!

          So close! I did sort of the same thing; when I was 20 pounds from my goal I went on a never ending carb binge because I figured I was so close already that'd be easy to get back on track and keep on going. I got 40 to lose now :<
          I will lose weight, I will lose weight, I WILL LOSE WEIGHT!
